Good, inexpensive receiver bike rack
This is a good, inexpensive bicycle rack for your 2" receiver. It's NOT as sturdy or easy to use as one with wheel cradles but then again it's not that expensive or heavy. I have one of those and leave it on my RV. I was looking for a light weight bike rack to take on and off my car as needed and for traveling less than 100 miles. Overall, the rack fits those needs quite well. A couple of comments: (1) use the anti-rattle hitch tightener which you get free now (or BUY one). It will still rattle a bit as all of this type do but it makes a world of difference. (2) I use a locking pin rather than the one that came with the rack. Their pin is sturdy but I want the rack to be there when I get back from my ride. (3) Be sure to strap your bike to minimize sway. (4) Unlike the picture in the Amazon details, the instructions say you can not swing the rack down with bikes on it. I have not tried as it isn't that sturdy a rack and believe the insert from the company. That said, when it's empty, the rack swings away from the vehicle nicely and easily with just the release of the locking pin. I can then open the hatch back of my Outback. (5) The rack obscures the backup camera just enough to make it challenging. Go old school and use your side and rear view mirrors and turn your head or worst case, GOAL (get out and look). (6) if you leave the rack on the car, the arms easily drop down. (7) The ends of the arms have red reflectors on them; a nice safety feature. (8) it is very light weight and easy to remove should you want to. Easier if you use a non-threaded hitch pin :-) (9) And lastly, the wrenches included are light weight and would be good backups or light to carry in your bike bag but they sure don't give you the correct sizes in the instructions if you want to use your own sturdier wrenches or sockets. You'll need an 11/16th for the hitch pin.

Great product and excellent customer service
I purchased this bike shelf a while ago but didn’t get a chance to install it until recently. When I finally did, I realized it unfortunately doesn’t fit my car — entirely my own oversight. The product itself is solidly built and well-designed, with clear and easy-to-follow instructions. When I reached out to customer service, they responded immediately and were incredibly helpful. They worked with me through the process and eventually issued a refund, even though the issue wasn’t their fault. I truly appreciate the outstanding service and professionalism. If this product fits your car, I believe you’ll be very happy with it!

To complicated and missing parts
Some pieces were missing. Never really used it. Now we can't use it at all.

Damaged my car, my bike, and risked the safety of others on the road!
AVOID ON THE HIGHWAY!! Those who want a quick Summary: the mounts that hold the bike onto the rack turn into smush when the sun hits them for 2 days, and the straps pop off easily. The bike will unmount and hit your car, or fly off (thankfully I only ended up with a few deep scratches on my car paint and glass, versus the rear window breaking completely. The whole story: I had to do a 3.5 hour drive to make it to a meet up and my goodness this has got to be one of the most stressful drives I’ve ever done. (I’ve driven with a stuttering engine before but driving with this rack was way worse!). It was fine within the city at low speeds but as soon as the sun came out, and I went on the highway at 70mph…oh my goodness…ITS SO BAD!! The bike immediately came off and when I went to go and check, the mounts were just mush! They had gotten so soft in the sun that no matter how many times I try to put the bike back in place, the Mount would just get squashed and deformed under the weight of my bike (my bike weights less than 20lbs). First time bike slid off because mounts just flattened and I ended up with scratches on my cars rear window (photos coming soon) Second time bike slid off because the mounts flattened and the straps were the only thing keeping the bike from flying off….this time I ended up with DEEP scratches in the paint of my car. Third time the bike came off because the straps snapped off. My U-Lock Cable was the only thing ensuring the bike didn’t fly off into traffic. Fourth time the bike came off because the mount was mush again, some heavy braking slid the bike back onto the mount though. All this happened within a 3.5 hour drive. But! The first 1.5 hours the bike was fine, it was the last 2 hours where all of those events above happened. Plus, this was all on butter-smooth florida highways. I was so happy to arrive at my location. The very first thing I did was go to a sporting goods store and buy a Thule bike rack for the drive back (no I can’t afford a Thule so despite being against using credit cards for loans, I’m using my credit line to buy a Thule just for the drive back). I simply cannot risk damaging my car, my bike, or worse, the safety of other drivers on the road. Yes I’m returning this. No I would never recommend this to a friend. Trying to save ~$100 I ended up having the following damage done: Car paint: $50 for touch up paint plus clear coat Scratches on the window: $200 for a new rear window DEEP Scratches on my bike: idk how much this will cost to fix, but definitely ruined the finish on my bike. Other than that major issue, the locking pin jams under the weight of a bike so folding the bike in order to access your trunk will get annoying really fast.

Received it yesterday and already used it. Bought the 2 bike rack but I regret not buying the 4 bike rack as it is a solid one, super easy to install

This product was ready and easy to setup. Hang on the truck no problem. Yes it swivels but man it’s hard put bikes on. Unless you have a large bike that offers a LARGE only frame, loading up any other bike is a nightmare. Forget putting a woman’s bike on here. Straps are too small for thicker frame. Tried putting my kids bike on this and what a challenge. There is no way to put 4 bikes on here. Especially large ones.. dissapointed with this product and will have to make my own brackets and adjustments hours before I leave for vacation.
