The book was a good read. It's brimming with content but I was a little disapointed. the book isn't easy to read because it has been created out of notes and it's rare to see any structured paragraphs. However, the book offers some good tips to the reader, aswell as an insight into Bruce's ideas and theories. I wouldn't suggest this book to any old martial artist. It wouldn't be suitable for a beginner nor a practitioner of any other martial art other than JKD. If you want to read something structured I would suggest the Tao Of Jeet Kune Do. Other than this, a great book and a great addition to my library.

This is a book about Bruce Lee's martial art: Jeet Kune Do. It shows different techniques about fighting. One of my favourite parts of the book is that is shows strengths and weaknesses of different martial arts, like boxing, Muay Thai, and other martial arts. This book is a comprehensive guide on how to become a better fighter. It's ideal for martial arts enthusiasts to read.

John Little really understands what Bruce Lee's message was Re MA's and this book puts his thoughts across in BW. When you still see those on the Internet trying to tie JKD to a fixed style or think BL wanted anyone to be a cheep copy of him! it still amazes me people don't see JKD as a ticket to freedom from it's this way or the highway of Traditional inflexible styles!

As someone who is now well into their senior years my passion for numerous martial arts (Judo, Jujitsu, Karate-Do, Boxing, Wrestling. Krav Maga, Combatives and many others) has spanned 7 plus decades. One of the most iconic and well-known martial artists is Bruce Lee. Over the years I have read just about every book and article about him and his Jeet Judo Do methods. This is why when I saw this 400-page soft cover book (Jeet Kune Do: Bruce Lee’s commentaries on the martial way, edited by John Little) I immediately purchased it. First off, this treatise is not an easy read because Bruce Lee goes into great detail on his views and theories on fighting and combat. The simple truth is, even though I clearly understood most of the material, without an instructor who teaches Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do most people will have a hard time grasping the numerous techniques and his personal fighting philosophy in this fantastic book. Bruce comments on a wide variety of topics related to the martial arts and his personal philosophy of combat principles. I found this book to be fascinating, informative and educational. If you are a fan of Bruce Lee, the martial arts and Jeet Kune Do, this is a must book for your personal combatives library. Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph H.
