God of War

The 'God of War' graphic novel, very new, well packaged and a really cool story to read. A+.

This comic is a perfect way to show and explain the struggles Kratos faced when he tried to live as a man and control his rage before the events of GOW 2018 and Ragnarok. It takes a more human side of him and I love it.

There's very little connective tissue between God of War 3 and the newest venture into the Norse mythos. While this story doesn't do much for world-building, it gives us an excellent look into Kratos's mind before the events of the newest game, showing us how he's grown as a character since the massacre on Olympus. The art is kinetic and perfectly gory, matching the tone of the series. And the writing is surprisingly thoughtful. Not mandatory reading by a longshot, but if you're a longtime fan of Kratos, you'd be missing out if you didn't pick it up.

I loved the story, totally Kratos. The writing, and art is spot on with the game God of War. Need more please!

This comic is really good and it is cool to see what led up to God of War 2018.

Chris Roberson’s “God of War” comic is a fun – if sleight – dive into the world of the 2018 video game, one that serves to fill in some of the backstory’s gaps while also teeing up future tales in this section of the franchise’s universe. While there’s not a ton here that ‘s particularly revelatory – either in terms of unveiling lore surprises or exceeding narrative expectations from a tie-in comic - Roberson does do a decent job at keeping the reader invested (it also doesn’t hurt that the art, provided here by Tony Parker represents a step up from what tends to be featured in video game tie-in comics of this ilk). “God of War” isn’t a GREAT comic book…but it IS a suitably entertaining read, one that – for die-hard fans of the franchise – will likely hit the spot.

Set before the game starts and worth the read.

I feel Kratos is very relatable, managing his anger vs all these crazy beasts trying to mess with him, and feeling remorse when he does have to fight. The fights are great, the pacing is very quick (more action than reading sometimes), and the art is fantastic.

A well paced story that serves as a nice prequel to the 2018 game, the art is a little hit and miss at times but it does look very nice overall.

Really good graphic novel just came in bent. Amazon has to do a better job of shipping out graphic novels/books
