You can share the remote between sets! I bought a 9-piece set and a 6-piece set, both from DRomance, both with identical candle types (3D flame, AA batteries, wax drips), and all of the candles respond to both remotes. Very handy since each set only comes with one remote, no backup :PI run them from 5PM-1AM every day, and I never turn them truly 'off' so I can use the remote: they lasted 1 1/2 months before I had to replace the batteries. With rechargeable batteries, it hasn't been any hassle at all. Light is yellow-orange. They're quite dim even on their brightest setting, not bright enough to really illuminate anything nearby, just nice for ambiance. You have to point the remote control in the general direction of the candles: clustered candles will all go on/off together, but not the whole room, and certainly not candles in neighboring rooms. The timer function is useless if you intend to occasionally turn the candles on/off manually outside of the timer schedule: doing so completely resets the timer, so you have to set it up all over again.I'm not thrilled with the quality:- Battery caps don't fit well- Only comes with one remote per set- Anytime I change the batteries, I have to hit the base of each candle (HARD) several times before they'll light up.- A couple of the candles wouldn't light up at all.However, they were the ONLY candle brand that met all my needs, and they've worked pretty well.- 3D flame, not the fancy new moving flame. (The new flames have a reputation for a constant soft clicking sound, which would drive me nuts.)- Remote control works well- Candles don't get hot at all- Flicker pattern looks very natural and all the candles flicker independently; the candles do NOT all flicker unnaturally in sync.- They look just like the picture, with realistic decorative wax drips

These are beautiful realistic candles. My only complain is I ordered these because they come with a remote control. I cannot get the remote to work at all. The remote was primarily the reason I ordered this set because they are in a lantern that makes it difficult to turn each candle on and off manually. If you don't necessarily need the remote I would recommend the candles. UPDATE: Contacted DRomance concerning the remote. They were very good to work with and replaced so that everything works great now. LOVE the candles and would highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded.  I needed narrower candles to fit through my lantern’s door and these worked well! Love the 2” width. I’ve got one more in another spot that needed this skinnier size. They glow golden and the timer has been consistent. I’m a battery candle junkie and love my Matchless flickering wick pillars (not so much the push wick ones), and was nervous to try others. If you need or want a narrower pillar candle set, give these a try. Nice glow and they work by remote!

I do like the remote control with the timer. I can't say about battery life as I have not had them long enough to run even a cheap battery down. These do the decorating job they were purchased for and my only issue is they don't come in other colors like for holidays.

They didn't come with batteries and I haven't used them enough to rate the battery consumption. I love that they feel and look like wax candles. Definitely turn each one on with a pause in between (like lighting real candles) for a realistic flicker. The only issue I have is when the remote synchronizes the flicker it looks fake, but just reset the on/off switch on each one and you're back in business.

I am obsessed with these cool LED candles. I live in a library, pretty much, and they really make the place special at night!

These are fantastic and much much better than some others I tried. I use these for Halloween and a year round Display in my house for myself. They look really good. The battery life could be better, but much better than others I've used. The remote works very well.

Loved these candles, had a problem with remote. Without the remote these candles are a lot of work to remember to turn on and off.
