Mitchell Catch Tele Spin Rod

I got the 6 foot tele spin rod.Postage and packing were exemplary. The rod arrived inside a rigid container that could protect it from anything. It also arrived very quickly, having been dispatched on a Saturday it arrived Tuesday.The rod itself is less satisfactory. At only 6 foot extended, it should collapse into a much smaller size than it does. I have 12 foot telescopic rods that pack smaller. This rod is still over 2 feet long when collapsed.Also it is very stiff despite its 4-15g cast rating. I would have placed it at 10-25g. Unsuitable for the type of fishing I was planning to use it for.The Mitchell brand markings are not part of the rod, but appear to be stickers. I am not sure if this is as it is supposed to be, whether or not this is a genuine Mitchell Tele spin is in question. I own a 7 foot Mitchell catch two piece rod, and the brand markings were part of the rod, not stickers.The rod seems sturdy, and if the anomalies I discovered are acceptable to you, I would recommend it, as it is still a good rod. It's just different to what I was looking for and expected.

I consider the rod very good for the price with delivery exactly on time. It was bought to enable me to float fish for freshwater carp in 14 Ft of water using 8 Lb line and handled a 17Lb fish very well.
