Q: What size would fit 5'2-5'4 without showing belly (to wear to school)?

My daughter is 5”2 and very slim build. She wears a size S. The hem sits at a high waistline. Worn with yoga style pants or high waist jeans, there is no problem with bare skin showing. At her height a size M would fall lower, like a normal sweatshirt, but the sleeves would be too long. At 5’2”, if a size M is needed for comfort or for an extra modest hemline, it looks like shortening the cuffs up to 2” would be possible.
