We put the system up and running however after 4 days the HDD suddenly stopped working. I removed the cover, disconnected the HDD and plugged it back in and it is running just fine. I figured doing this first was better than complaining to the seller first. Ease of set up was pretty good though it took a bit to figure out setting up the wireless Wifi. We love the picture quality!!!! Haven't noticed any major lag so that's good as well. We feel more secure knowing that all the cams record unlike all of the other systems we have used. Well worth the money spent as far as we are concerned!!!

If you're setting up and using the system locally (not looking for remote access), it's extremely simple. Everything is preprogrammed. I connected an old monitor and cable to the NVR. I plugged in the NVR. Connected it to my WiFi network that covers the area for cameras, then connected it to my router via ethernet. Plugged in cameras one by one. Each came up perfectly. Each camera comes with mounting hardware but I like to move mine around almost daily. I bought some inexpensive plastic boxes from Amazon. I screwed the cameras into them. I put them on table tops and shelves and in one case, on the floor. The power cord is long. I plugged them into closest AC outlet. Walked back to NVR. All cameras were up and running perfectly. If you're used to setting up things on a computer, the software to set up the cameras trigger area and sound and image, etc is easy and quick.It's a little more complicated to set up remote access. It tells you to scan an OCR to download the software for your smartphone. The website it dead. Look it up manually on your phone's store. Follow the instructions. It's not hard. The manual is very good.I'm sitting here in Toronto, following my cleaning lady around in Orlando. Video is outstanding. Trigger areas work for the most part. But I idid manage to trap 5 racoons in the first week so it works good enough.Lastly, 2 of the 8 cameras were DOA for sound. Video 100%. Audio 0%. I sent message to Amazon. They put me in touch with vendor (because I didn't want to return the whole box). They were responsive. No questions asked. Sent me 2 camera replacements. Now I can see and hear in all 8.Highly recommend this system and company.

Not even 1 month old and system is out. Hard drive failure. Over last 4 years this is 3nd system i have had from company. 1st 2 were installed in different locations but both died of hard drive failure at same time. Now my newest replacement dies for the same reason in under a month. I believe the main culprit for this is defective power supplies. As I have had 3-4 go out on cameras also. Tryed calling support but most the time it's just a auto hangup anytime you call and if you are lucky enough to talk to someone between their phone systems, breaking up so bad and the heavy accents. You cannot understand anything they are saying.Quick updated. This is day 7 of dealing with support. I have been required to disassemble my whole nvr 3 time, remove the hard drive and take pictures of it out of nvr 2 times and install one one my personal hard drives to prove the controller is out on nvr and still can't get them to send me a new nvr.

The system was easy to setup. Once cameras were plugged in to power and the main unit was turned on, the cameras came on automatically. Day and night vision is good. It picks up motion really well and very handy to see who is coming and going to our front door.

Came brand new and was really easy to set up. A great improvement over my old system.

This is a good starter system for me. I like how easy it was to set up and get going.

Hard drive went out 3 months after 2 year protection plan expired. Also be aware that the connections for the power cord will corrode if installed outdoors and not sealed properly. I've had to replace 4 of the 8 cameras because of this. Could have and should have bought an entirely new system replacement.

El producto NVR presenta problemas (ruido y lentitud al encender) y eh realizado notificaciones constante con el vendedor desde el Lunes y es la hora que no me han dado una solución. Mi recomendación era un remplazo pero ya estoy pensando en devolverlo ya que el soporte es deficiente…
