Puts on nice shine, and really is fragrance free
I bought the fragrance free version, and am very happy with it. Works on a variety of woods, and looks great when you're done. Took me a little while to get used to, because it doesn't evaporate as quickly as something like Pledge. But follow the instructions, and it works great.

Best Wood Product
I love all of Howard products. This Wood Cleaner and Polish is by far the best product I have ever used to clean and dust my home. I have used everything from Orange Glo to just Pledge. This product cleans and protects without being oily or waxy. It cleans my Grandmother's 100 year old dining room table set while protecting it. I spray the product on the wood and use a microfiber cloth to polish. Once my antique wood items are done, I use the cloth with all the product in it to continue dusting the rest of the house. It helps repel the dust. I have found I do not need to dust as often since I began using this product. It is a winner in my home.

Excellent for paper based counter
We bought a house with black counters made from an eco friendly paper based product, and this is the stuff the manufacturer recommends for treating and refreshing the counter. It does a great job, and is preserving the color. It had a couple of whitish spots that generally disappear when I put this on. Greasy, but it smells great.

Howard Polish vs oils for wood and..how to seal wood.
I take care of my wood furniture. Most of my 'real wood' doesn't have a finish on it so it needs care to stay nice and not dry out. I used lemon oil on my wood, it will sink in, it is easy to put on too much and have to go back later after allowing it to sit awhile to soak in then wipe off the excess.....therefore a lot more work. Its easy then to say, ah I'll do that later and as with everything, time just goes by.Howards is easy, it does soak right in and leaves a nice finished, moisturized look to the wood. If the wood is really dry and hasn't been 'conditioned' on a regular basis it will seem like not much is happening. The wood is extremely dry then and I would use an oil to 'catch up' the moisture. This keeps the moisture in the wood nicely and puts a nice rich deeper color back in your wood.If you find it is beading up (as one reviewer said) I would guess you have used a wax type product on your furniture before. That seals it but doesn't keep the moisture in. Once the wax is worn off the wood is still dry under that.A nice tip of you want to 'seal' wood such as your butcher block or wood island top is to use coconut oil. Rub that in. It 'seals's the pours in the wood without using wax and conditions the wood. You will see the wood demands more if it is dry.As for this product.. I think it rocks.

NOT all natural!
I depend on natural cleaning products and DIYs because I have allergies to most synthetic fragrances and conventional cleaning products. I also need a great wood cleaner/polish that can take care of the woodwork in a 1920s Arts&Crafts bungalow, not to mention my great-grandma's piano. I had a bottle of Howard's wood cleaner and polish that I absolutely loved! (It had an earthy sandalwood scent.) The old version was perfect! When I ran out I went looking for more. I couldn't find Howard polish locally. I couldn't find the sandalwood version anywhere, so I bought this from Amazon. What a disappointment. First hint of scent hit my nose and I knew this wasn't natural. I tried using it once, and the itchy feeling started. The ingredients label lists "essential oil and fragrance blend." I use both lime and lemongrass essential oils routinely without problems. Don't be fooled into thinking this is all natural. If I could have whiffed this before purchase, it would have stayed on the shelf and saved me money. Anybody know of a good cleaner/polish that really is all natural? My DIY concoction isn't working as well as I would like.

Not for deep cleaning of wood furniture
It’s okay. I buy a lot of vintage and it can be gross. This takes off surface dirt but does not deep clean. I know a lot of flippers that use this. It’s messy to use due to the design of the spray nozel, and it does not get rid of that weird smell or smoke odor that gets tapped in wood. I have done side by side of multiple products for deep cleaning and odor removal and I find this middle to lower rating fir what I want it to do. I’ll stick to my 50/50 vinegar/distilled water and sunshine

The last one was bought years ago.
I thought I might have trouble finding this as the first time was years ago and I only normally use it once a year on kitchen cupboards. I must admit it really makes a good job, so much so that I keep looking and thinking what's the point of buying a new kitchen when they won't last as long as these cupboards or look as good.Lovely scent, get lots on my fingers, lovely job it makes.
