Rubbish quality
Rubbish quality, very poor finish on the cutting wheel. Buy Victorinox, same price, much better quality. The photo shows Ez-Duz-It on left and Victorinox on the right. You can clearly see the poor finish on the wheel grinding. And it does not open tins well, leaves several uncut sections on each tin attempt. Very dissapointed, normally made in USA stuff is good.

At last a tin opener that works and works and works and isn't killed by Fray Bentos tins.....
We had a standard little tin opener for YEARS.... then one day it gave up the ghost (I think it was the Fray Bentos pies that did it) so we had to get another. In the space of a month we tried 2 that were a similar style to this and 2 a similar style to our old one but all seemed to be really flimsy and IF they opened a Fray Bentos tin or two they didn't open any more! Anyway after coming to old faithful (Amazon) and doing a search for what others had tried and had succeeded we settled on giving this little beauty a go. It felt a little silly having to order a tin opener at such a cost and coming from the US BUT.... IT WORKS! This is VERY well built. It feels weighty, looks beefy and eats through Fray Bentos tins with ease (we prob have them once a week at the moment). The teeth that rotate together to get the opener around the tins are big and chunky so won't wear down any time soon and the cutter is thicker than the others we have had so as well as cutting through tin like a hot knife through butter it looks like it's going to last. If you're looking for a new tin opener then look no further. These work, they work very well and they look and feel like they are going to last! Well worth the money.

The Tinamator
This tin opener is the business. In the UK it seems to be extraordinarily difficult to lay hands on a decent can opener. I suppose all these top chefs and prestige kitchen equipment companies don't want to put their signature or logo on a lowly can opener, garlic crusher yes, mezza luna yes, espresso maker yes but tin opener no thank you. Meanwhile in the real world far away from TV chefs and domestic goddesses, mere mortals would like to open a tin of beans or chopped tomatoes. Well worry not help is at hand. This appliance slices off tin lids with ruthless ease in one easy go with minimum force. I know it seems a bit mad to be hymning the praises of a mere tin opener but the sad fact of the matter is that ones that work properly are so rare nowadays. It's not very exciting to look at. It's never going to win a prize from a design museum and the packaging is decidedly matter of fact. Also it comes from the Staes so it takes a while to arrive but the price (of the product and the postage) is reasonable and best of all it actually opens a tin. Highly recommended.

Think it might be over rated due to patriotic Americans
This product comes brazened with MADE IN AMERICA, SUPPORT US MANUFACTURING, political slogans on it's packaging. I bought it based on it's reviews which may be skewed by that. It's a solid tin opener though. I bought it because it was touted as the world's best tin opener. I think the reviews have a bit of a positive bias by patriotic Americans reviewing it.

Impressive
Obvious from the packaging that this is made in the USA. It is typically robust but could do with a 'hanging eye' at the business end to facilitate storage on a horizontal kitchen tool rack as it is larger than your run of the mill tin opener and fills your cutlery drawer.

Not genuine product
Not a genuine ex-duz-it I’ll have to return it

Not very good, look elsewhere
Frequently slips on the can, and the handles slip off. I might have got a duff one.
