great plum taste. no menthol
Great plum taste and seems to work with coughing without the harsh menthol taste of most cough drops. I would say these are a pretty good value. The tin can is a nice touch as well and can be useful for when you're done with them

Great taste
I loved these throat and cough candies as they didn't taste medicinal and did help with management a soar throat when I was sick. I also tried the lemongrass flavor recently and didn't like it as much as it did have the medicinal cough syrup sort of taste. But these plum flavored are a little sour and yummy.

Delicious!
This is a lovely tin of candies. Each is wrapped, so they are easy to share with friends. The flavor is complex, rich, ume plum. They are not too sweet. In fact they are a sweet/sour candy, but not lemon sour. You really have to try time to enjoy them. I am ordering more, and these will always be in my purse. I guess the best part is they are surprising to the American palate and people seem happy when they taste one. That's best, a little bit of happiness in a pretty purple wrapper.

It's okay
It's okay as a cough drop, helps to keep moisten my throat. Does not leave a thick feeling in the tongue. I also do not any problem with the taste. They said it tastes like barbeque?? It does not. It tastes like any fruit/plum (dried).

Slight barbecue flavor
First off I can see why some say this flavor tastes like barbecue, it does taste like artificial barbecue flavor for a second but quickly goes away to a great plum flavor. The slight barbecue flavor is the only reason this is not getting a 5 star review cause honestly like the other flavors it works great, just tastes a little weird at first

there was a review here talking about how the ume plum flavor tastes like bbq and its awful. thought to myself haha they just are trying something new and you either love it or hate it, but no! i expected a slightly sour and pungent flavor, however it tastes like i am sucking saccharin-laced sweet baby rays from the bottle and i couldnt get myself to finish any of the pieces i unwrapped, disappointing.
