Works great and it’s quiet.
Works fine. It’s one of the only 5” units available. It’s quiet. I attached mine with a few self tapping sheet metal screws, otherwise the one pipe against the cord is a shear point.

Nice little fan for the money
Purchased this fan to help move cooler air to our 2nd floor office while my wife worked from home during the Corona pandemic. It fit nicely in the duct and did the job, but did have a bit more noise and vibration than we liked. I solved this by making a soft 'sleave' out of some bubble-wrap packing material to isolate the fan from the metal ductwork. I put it on a timer so it runs 8am-5pm while she works.

Great flow, minimal noise.
My unit came with a plug. Just had to plug it in. The company is switching over from hardware to plugs. Great flow, minimal noise.

Dangerous!!!!
Unsafe item! This fan didn’t even last 6 months and nearly caught on fire. The motor seized and the plastic began to burn.

Good value, but not for the most demanding applications
I bought the 5" version of this fan, and found it well made, quiet, and reliable. It responds well to speed control. Unfortunately for my application, it is underpowered, not able to handle high static pressures. But for short duct runs and modest flow demands, this little fan is a great, economical choice.

Well made
Well made and quiet if mounted with flex hardware, running 7 weeks now as garage vent fan.

After 6 months of use mine melted into my grow tent.
Used for about 6 months continuously. Was happy with it. Noise wasn't too bad for what it is. I went into my garage today and could smell burning plastic. Saw my Sailflo fan had malfunctioned. It melted through the plastic housing. This could have easily started my grow tent on fire, then the garage. I had this fan in the same place extracting air the whole time. Never moved or fiddled with it. Just melted one day. I'm lucky it only slightly damaged my 4x4 tent. Be careful out there folks. That said, I did like the fan before this happened.

It's Coo
It's a $20.00 fan... it acts like a $20.00 fan. Nuff said.
