Outstanding lock. Easy to use and quality construction. But TSA cut them off on the very first leg of my trip. The TSA symbol is clearly displayed on the lock so why would they do this? No explanation was given. No note left. Are they just too lazy to pull out their key and it’s more fun to cut a lock? Why don’t they communicate with us and tell us what’s up.If there’s any class action attorneys reading this I think you’d have a great class action suit against TSA. Help us recoup the money spent on these locks.

I have taken three trips in the last four weeks with these locks. Two have been cut off by TSA (once in MSP flying to DCA, the second from BWI flying back to MSP). I am a federal employee, I actually went into my agency headquarters into Security and had them test the two remaining ones with the TSA equipment. Their key does work, but does not trigger the red light at all, but it took a while for the tool key to work (which is probably why the lock had to be sawed off on two different junctures. I probably got a bad batch, but still, this is pretty annoying. Turns out I cannot return the two locks to Amazon (which I completely understand), so this product gets my qualified worst rating.Edit 7-Oct-2018 (From one to three stars)So, a couple of weeks ago, the customer service staff of Forge found me. They apologized for not finding me sooner, but wanted to follow up with questions with respect to locks. It turns out that I did get a bad batch, and Forge did end up making good on the lock. I will be following up with Travel Sentry and the local TSA office at MSP, because I had to fill out an OF-132 because of the destroyed government property from the locks which lead me to write the review in the first place. I am really happy that the locks were refunded by the company, though I was still out a lot of time and money due to those locks which a partial compensation was happily offered and accepted. I still intend to find out what happened since the key batch is now known as that will get a refiled OF-132 with some jerk's name on it, somehow.

Upon opening the package and setting the combinations, when I got to the third lock, the tumblers were difficult to move. A little piece of metal fell out of the key hole. It is unusable. Sent message to seller and did not hear anything back.When on a trip and upon arrival to destination, went to remove a lock from luggage and the lock was damaged and difficult to turn the numbers.Would not recommend at all. Did not use locks for rest of trip in fear of them not functioning properly and not being able to unlock and get into luggage.

When I received my package of two locks only one was functional (they both were in the hard plastic original covering. I tried repeatedly to get the top portion of the lock to rotate so I could program it to my 4 digit number but it would not rotate. I called the vendor and they sent me a new package which arrived within just a few days. Both locks in the second package worked as they should and I compliment the customer service they provided.

Looks like a winner to me. Seems sturdy. Made of steel and with a 4 digit combo instead of 3. Steel shank too. Colors are nice as well. We chose the red and are quite pleased. Red color is accurate as photo in ad. Priced well for 4 all steel, 4 digit combo and good looking locks.

Locks were received promptly as promised.Packaging was sufficient to protect the locks in transit.Easy to program the combinations using the directions included with the locks.The white numbers against the black background are easy to read, even for aging eyes.These locks appear to be of similar quality / durability as the other TSA approved locks I am currently using, and those I have used in the past. That is, they would not present a significant barrier to someone motivated to break into my luggage. But they are sufficient to encourage honest people to stay that way.They are a little bit heavier than my other locks 4 digit TSA locks, and a little bit larger.I have used them successfully on one trip so far. My luggage showed no signs of having been opened by TSA, and the TSA opening indicators were not tripped. So I cannot confirm whether or not the indicators work.Based on this initial experience, I would buy these again.

There are so many locks to choose from, but I was looking for one that TSA wouldn't destroy as they often do. I bought a 4-pack of the 4-digit black lock and couldn't be more pleased. The locks are sturdy, have some weight to them, are reasonably priced, and are easy to program. The written instructions and supporting video are easy to follow. I sent a question online to customer service and received a helpful response almost immediately. (They are based in Wyoming and are a small, veteran-owned business.) Don't hesitate to buy from them!

I travel with CCW, to mitigate issues with compliance, It's important to have your luggage secure, while still allowing TSA /Law Enforcement the option of NOT blowing my shaving kit up, if they needed to access my luggage.It does what it says, let's you easily see that someone has been in your bag (and that you should check everything as soon as possible), clearly shows the emblem that says"please do not break me, use your tool thingy". Setting the combinations were simple and straight forward.You ABSOLUTELY could do much worse, and experience tells me that the pittance these cost, in comparison to replacing everything or standing around waiting....it's paid for itself 5x in reduction of "The Hassle"

Seamos realistas, el candado no te brindara maxima seguridad, pero si te da un poco de paz mental. Vienen 4 candados bien terminados y de muy buena calidad, cumplen con normativa TSA a excelente precio.

Los candados me han funcionado perfectamente, sencillos, prácticos y aceptados por TSA.

Llegó antes de lo previsto, son de buena calidad y es sencillo usarlos. Compré el paquete de 4 con bandas de colores, los recomiendo.
