2WR3R-FM - remote start, but nothing more
I had this remote start bought and installed at a dealership (and they charged me $499...) so I can't vouch for ease of install. However, what I can tell you is this sucker will start the car. I work in a concrete building and my car is about 1,000 feet away and it starts no problem. However, that is the only pro.Maybe the dealership installed it wrong, but I can no longer use my original FOB to lock or unlock my car and my proximity features no longer work (unlocking the car by touching the handle).I cannot get the unlock to work on the remote start unless I'm within a close distance. So when I'm starting the car at home, it won't let me remote start it and unlock the car from my house.Once I get into the car after using the remote start, I have to turn the car off and back on again in order to drive. This can't be how this was designed to work.Pros: Remote start works greatCons:- can't use proximity unlocks- unlock doesn't work from a distance- can't use original fob- Have to turn the car off and back on again in order to drive
