Digital Thermometer, LCD Basal Body Thermometer, Waterproof, Accurate Fast Temperature Reading Body Thermometer for Oral, Armpit or Rectal Temperature

Did not work!!! Continually beeped, never took temperature. Kept trying it, different reads every time... beeping never ceased.

As you can see in the photograph, the tip of this thermometer came off. It came off quite easily as I was using an alcohol tissue on it. This is potentially VERY DANGEROUS in a baby's mouth or rectum.

When I purchased this product I checked the questions and it was indicated that there was a case; there was not. Just a plastic insert in the package.Also, why aren't all thermometers backlit by now? The $10 thermometer I had to replace because it completely kicked the bucket was over fifteen years old and was backlit, perfect for taking my basal body temperature at 0515! Now I have to use my phone flashlight to see the read out so not to wake my partner. There was one answer in the FAQ that suggested it was backlit but apparently it only is backlit for high fever. I'm sorry, but I am pretty sure all parents taking a kid's temperature in the middle of the night want to see what the readout is even if not a high fever. That is my biggest complaint with this thermometer - not backlit at all temperatures..The readout is also small. My old thermometer used large numbers on the LCD display to tires eyes could easily focus on them. If I could return this now after using it for even a day I would.I do like the flexible tip but overall this product design is not practical. I would skip this thermometer if I were you!

Arrived today. Display flickers on and off, or is only half lit, and then goes off. Kept trying, waiting for the start sequence (which it sometimes did while flickering), but it just shuts off when I try to take my temperature. I'm sending it back.Addendum 7/24/20: I have received multiple emails from this seller asking me to remove my review, and offering to pay me to do so (first the $13 I spent, which had already been refunded, then $15, then $25). They do say that they now have a different manufacturer and would like me to buy another one, but I ordered one from another seller.

Product does not work. Continually tells me my temperature is between 93.5 and 95.2 degrees. Tried it on my son and it showed his temperature is 95.8. Also takes well over a minute to read temperature. Try that while taking the rectal temperature of a screaming toddler and let me know how it goes for you.

I'm required to check my temp before I go into work so I purchased this. The temp reading was always a bit inaccurate (often saying I was 95 degrees or other things that were too low). For my purposes (to report that I want running a fever because my temp was below 100), that was annoying but fine. If you actually want to know your specific temp, that would be a problem. I had it 6 months and used it 3-4 times a week and then the screen died and I couldn't use it anymore. Its not expensive but its pretty ineffective. I just bought a forehead temp reader for a little less than double what I paid for this, and Im hoping its a more effective and long lasting tool.

The Instructions are difficult-to- impossible to Read or Remember --Microscopic text, etc. There is WAY too muchinformation that nobody needs to know, just to use the thermometer. Worse, it is difficult to understand -- unless youare a medical professional. I ordered My thermometer quite some time ago, and have YET to be able to USE IT! And I have tried many times. Worse, again, I cannot read the "display" screen. I have another thermometer, EXACTLY like this one that I bought at Walgreens Before the Pandemic. It only cost $2.00 then, but is EXACTLY this thermometer, except for the Walgreen label. I have never been able to use it either,so I bought this one. Tough Luck for ME!

Amazing how fast it works! Very accurate and easy. The alarm lets you know if you have a fever.
