My Hero Academia: Two Heroes [Blu-ray]

As always the Prime Video version of this movie works great!
As someone who watches the TV series, "My Hero Academia," regularly on Cartoon Network's Toonami I found the movie a nice mix between recapping the highlights of the TV series and presenting a new and exciting story. There are several "Easter Eggs" in the movie, such as All Might (while in America) used to wear the same sneakers / shoes as does young Midoriya. The movie does a good job in bringing up to speed those who don't watch the TV series and keeping regulars from being bored. This review isn't about the movie, but about the product sold on Amazon. You have a choice between the physical product (Blu-Ray disc, DVD disc, and a Funimation digital copy). The physical copy comes with two discs and a registration code. Unlike other digital movie sites, Funimation doesn't let you download the movie and play it, while offline. You'll need to create an account, register the movie, and play it from the Funimation website. You won't find the movie in your VUDU, Movie Anywhere, Disney, etc., libraries. While both discs worked fine, I had problem after problem with the Funimation digital copy. You can find them documented in my review of the Blu-Ray, DVD, and digital copy of the movie.I contacted Funimation customer support first, but after waiting for several days, I decided to contact Amazon customer support. As I told them, the discs work fine, but I can't get the digital copy to work. Amazon customer support gave me enough credit to buy the Amazon (Prime) video copy of this movie. The Amazon version is in English (not Japanese, as is the Funimation copy) both spoken and closed caption (for the bar / hearing impaired).I enjoy watching a digital copy of the movie. Yet, I want to own a physical copy as there are fewer moving parts and less of a chance for something to go wrong over a digital copy on someone else's server.I can recommend this digital copy of the movie. I'm sure in time Funimation will get their digital copy working. I only wish the Funimation digital copy was as easy to access as the Prime Video copy.

Beware you won't be able to use the digital; Still LOVED the movie!
The digital is in a funimation page which doesn't seem to exist anymore. But the dvd and bluray was well packaged and arrived fast.

Heroes Rule
I've watched all three MHA movies and none have disappointed. Actually ended up watching this one last and it was a great addition to the main storyline while still standing out on its own. Always great to see Class 1A banding together when the going gets tough. Highly recommended for MHA fans.

An Amazing Movie
As expected from a great franchise, this movie is incredible! The film takes place between seasons 2 and 3, if you are wanting to watch the series in order. It offers a glimpse into All Might's past, as well as a glimpse at the future of season 3 and the amazing potential Deku has. I highly recommend this for any fan of the series, but it offers a general overview of events and the world of My Hero Academia for those who are new to the series, making it easy to introduce to people who are interested in superheroes but not likely to watch the series.

a little misleading but still great
If you're like me and haven't read the manga and are currently waiting for season 4 to drop, this is great relief. the animation is smooth and beautiful, as usual its super bright and colorful like its ripped out of a modern comic book, and the story is nice with some twists along the way*tiny spoiler warning*the part that was a little misleading was that if you watched the trailers, the story looks like it would delve into All Might's past and his time in america climbing through the ranks to make it to the #1 hero spot. Turns out that accounts for just about 5 mins of screen time and the rest of the film takes place in the present... so yea. Just dont expect a lot of all might backstory

insane movie with a 10/10 climax
It's in a weird canon grey area. It's totally canon, but it's never referenced in the show or manga, which I think would have added a lot to it. Especially the inclusion of Melissa Shields. The final fight is one of the coolest I've ever seen in the shounen genre. It pumps me up just thinking about it. All the voice actors and actresses do an incredible job. The movie includes the digital version from the funimation's website. Honestly as much as I hate funimation for their unethical business practices and their treatment of Vic Mignogna, that's how movies and tv shows should be sold nowadays.
