Comfy and great quality!
SD has finally gone back to quality materials. They had been getting a little cheap with their last few series. However, the build quality and materials of this 234 Series are top.Comfort was definitely an engineering expectation. This is the most comfortable jock/cup I've worn and as a hockey player, I've tried just about everything on the market for the perfect setup. This cup has never moved on its own or pinched the boys. Usually after practice I'm sore from rubbing along the sides of my groin. Once my outer gear is off, I can toss on pants and go. I usually forget I have it on. That should say a ton. Plus, you don't get the "cup poof" in the front of your pants wearing this. So no more after game cup checks, "forget something?"Overall, I'm very happy with this cup. Though I wouldn't wear it in a game as it's just not tough enough, it's perfect for everyday practices and fun skermishes.*6 Month Update:After more washes than I can count and a few glancing hits to the groin area, the straps are still tight and the cup is even more comfortable. Whether or not I conformed to the cup, or the cup to me, I can't say. However, I can say it's all I wear anymore. Though I will still only wear my titanium cup when I get stuck on goalie duty. ;). Any cons? Yes, the color has faded making the lines blurry and no longer looks digi-camo. Now, it just looks like it has sweat marks. But, I converted most of the team to it so they don't say anything about the weird coloring. LOL. That's my only negative.*About a year update:I still love this cup. It is still, by far, the most comfortable. Had to stop playing but, these will be the ones I keep just in case.

Very comfortable, Good Flex. Only cup I found with padding on the inside.
This, “Shock Doctor Athletic Supporter Jock w/ Aircore Protective Cup – Soft Cup” is a stiff cup, but it flexes very well, and is padded on the inside. I think this one is comfortable enough for soccer, basketball, and even football. The only drawback, which is minor, is that it does not have vent holes. But I don't think anyone could really feel the difference. Also, this one is the only cup I found with padding on the inside. But I think it does run a little small. And the cup is not removable from carrier, which some people may like (harder to loose), but I do not.The “Shock Doctor Core Supporter Jockstrap w/Soft Cup” is a “soft cup,” in that the cup itself is a soft foam. I think this is really good in that it provides a good amount of protection for sports that have are highly active, and usually do not have cups worn, like soccer, basketball, and even football. I could see how that one lousy day you get soccer kicked in that place. And yet you want a lot of mobility for all the other days.I like the largeness of the McDavid cups, as well as their soft/flexible edges.I have an older ShockDoctor cup, and it is a little stiffer than the McDavid cups.I have an older Duke, and I like that the inside is a little more rubberized on the inside than the McDavid and ShockDoctor cups. But this older Duke has fairly stiff edges.I have an older Pro Cup, and it seems okay, with soft sides, but hard, non-rubberized inside. We will be using the “Diamond MMA Diamond MMA Athletic Cup Groin Protector & Compression Shorts System with Built-in Jock Strap” with the “Shock Doctor Athletic Supporter Jock w/ Aircore Protective Cup – Soft Cup” for soccer, basketball, and football. But use the McDavid cup for baseball.

Shock Doctor ATH Jock is the best for athletic and everyday wear!
This is a really high quality jockstrap!I rated comfort level only 3 stars because without boxers on, just having the jock on feels funky and isn’t all that pleasing. After putting on my THF boxer-briefs on and then putting the jock on over that, it felt a lot better.I would almost argue they aren’t charging enough for this because man, this is such a great piece of protection. Definitely getting your money’s worth. These are incredibly lightweight. You can’t really tell they’re there.

We will see what happens...
Got package delivered today...tried it on and then went to my beginning karate class where we have started sparring. This is my second shock doctor groin cup product since I played recreational baseball and the verdict is still out whether this cup can take a substantial blow. I like the fit, cup keeps everything covered, but do not wear next to skin (I wore compression shorts) as you could be sweating a ton down there with no ventilation. Overall I would probably stick with more traditional shock doctor style cup in the future. This one was on a free gift card purchase otherwise price would have been pretty prohibitive given what I received.

Product done right!
I first thought the price tag was a bit much. After trying it on, well worth it.I'm a smaller guy, I thought it was going to be a bit too big. On the contrary it is a great fit. No adjusting necessary or fighting to insert the cup into a supporter or compression sort style set up.I also like that this one doesn't stick out like most, its hardly noticeable. The reduced weight is significantly noticeable and great.I look forward to putting this this to use and seeing if it remains just as good overtime. For those with younger ones this would be a great choice. I think they would be more likely to wear it and do so with less complaints.

Not bad
It rides high and protrudes more than I'd like while standing up, but is great while squatting. It's good for catching in baseball because if you push it down a little, it'll stay there while you're squatting and protect against the up-bounce of a spiked pitch. For hockey, i prefer a wider, more old-school cup. If you play hockey with this one, you might need to re-rack once in a while.

Durable and Washes Easily
My son claims this cup is better than his previous one (the old two piece cup and jockstrap style). More comfortable and less constricting. Seems sturdy enough to offer protection. It hold up well with regular washings - probably 20 washes in and it still cleans up easily in the washer/air dry.
