Very well made case but…
I love the case. Pure quality. Fits like a dream. It would be nice if you didn’t have to take the camera all the out to shoot. Perhaps have flaps at the lens and the operating center. Got the brown…very rich color.

Case works well to protect from minor dings
Good protection for a Nikon P1000.Easy to access the battery and SD card with case on.Make sure you check tripod screw before using. I lost mine on the first trip using the case. Luckily replacements are available for purchase online.It is possible to remove upper portion or leave it attached hanging from bottom snaps while shooting handheld.Nice clip on attachment that can hold a filter or diopter.I think the camera is too heavy to use the hand strap provided.I like the stock neck strap better than the thin leather one provided with cover.Works well for what I need it for. Other camera bags large enough for the camera were too large pand expensive for casual use.

Well-made, beautiful, and great fit on my P1000
I've always loved "Everready" style cases, especially for point-and-shoot style cameras. This case is among the best I've seen for quality, fit, and durability. It really fits my P1000 perfectly and looks beautiful. With that said, the P1000 certainly isn't a typical point-and-shoot style camera. So, in the end, at least for me, this case didn't turn out to be all that practical. I'm still giving it five stars for the quality, fit, and durability.

Where are instructions for attaching the straps? This came with no instructions at all.
I don't like that there are no instructions for properly attaching the straps to the case. Where do they attach?

Don't be ridiculous
I just got this thing today and as I'm trying to fit my monster P1000 in it I almost dropped it. First you have to remove the lens hood and then you have to wrestle the camera into the case, which by the way is very stiff, then you have to snap the clips to close the thing, you really have to put pressure ( push down) for the thing to snap.It's like putting a pair of shoes that don't fit you.Well, you got my two and a half cents, now you're on your own.

Good quality
I like the design and martial. Everything works really well with the fitting. However, if have any external mic/light/monitor you'll need to take it off. Maybe the next version will have a cut for it.
