You have to know what you're getting
As many people have pointed out in numerous blank blu-ray reviews, it's a hit-and-miss thing until you know what you need, and what you're getting. You may need to try quite a few brands. The most important point is the relation between your BD writer and the BD brand. Certain writers will never give good results with certain brands even if they're expensive stuff, that's a given. So I took a few tries, and discovered that Ridata (virtually the same thing as Ritek) works very well with my Pioneer 209 writer.Yes it's cheap, yes it's near the lower end of the quality spectrum, but I'm happy with it. I check my burned discs by copying the data back to the computer, and these are problem-free. So far Ridata has given me very, very few coasters. The discs I burned over two years ago still play without any skips or whirring.

Disappointed with disc layer burning issues
Tried using these Ritek dual layer blanks with a LG 14x Blu-ray burner and burning software. The discs would always complete burning with no initial errors detected. However, when attempting to play them on a stand-alone Blu-ray player, the disc would cause the player to freeze up at the layer break. No matter the burn speeds or software used, the discs would never play back properly. After half the pack turned to coasters, I stopped trying. I'm switching media in the hopes that it's simy a disc compatibility issue with the burner or I just got a bad batch of discs.

Ritek has fallen down
Ritek's reliability has fallen significantly, last 4 cake packs have been 100% bad. This after years of good packs, >2000 discs @ 2% failures. Ritek knows they made bad production runs and have been trying to recall. Have resellers flushed bad packs out?

So far so good.
Only one disk written thus far - but it wasn't a coaster, so.... all good?

Media doesn't meet BD-R standards. 6/25 so far have failed to burn.
Not impressed. Feels like $50 dollars wasted. Have a Pioneer BDR-212V that is capable of writing to BD-R, but every disk attempted has failed. Tried all speeds. Failures occur about 45%-65% of the way through. All software is most current and up to date.
