1 Review: Grade B+ - Extremely strong clove taste! Review: Best Gum Ever! - All I can say is I’m so happy and excited that I finally found this gum! This was a favorite when I was younger and haven’t been able to find it until i found it on here. The gum doesn’t really have a smell or taste at first but when you start chewing it, it does have a slight sweetness and cinnamon flavor that’s that’s not too strong. The taste doesn’t last very long though so that the only thing that sucks but it’s definitely worth buying. I hope Clove gum will continue to be made.

Best Gum Ever!

Childhood Revisited
Awesome product. So glad they rereleased it. It reminds me of my childhood when my grandma and I would go to this old time drug store. It smells just as amazing as it did. Soft so I know it’s not old, I saved two sticks for a rainy day when they discontinued it so I know what ages clove gum is like. Yes the flavor doesn’t last a super long time but as Willy Wonka would say, you shouldn’t be chewing gum all day and especially not the same piece. Highly recommend.

Old Gum With Expired Shelf-Life 2018 - The Gum I Received is Over 3 Years Old
Gum Expires After 1 Year. This Gum was packaged in 2018 and is Over 3 Years Beyond It's Expiration Date. Gerrit's Clove Gum is made in Morocco. Since this gum is so old, it now has a weak clove flavor, and should be much stronger - but it is dry and brittle. I have been searching for a good clove flavor gum, and will have to continue my search. What I do like about this gum is the low sugar, not overly sweet like most gums are, and most sugary gums increase tooth decay. This gum is unlikely to cause tooth decay. Gerrit's gum would be a most excellent gum for freshening breath. Clove oil is antibacterial and beneficial for teeth and gums. I am disappointed, but I would definitely buy this gum again if it was fresh and strong-flavored.

Nostalgia, sure. Originality, not so much.
Similar flavor, gum sticks are smaller. Texture is not the same. Flavor goes away pretty quick. Not long lasting.
