Bell and Howell Sunlight Desk Lamp

I love these Lamps. The daylight lightening without shadows makes doing work so much easier. I have the floor lamps, but need one closer to the work I am doing. I enjoy the smooth sleek look of this Lamp and it is easy to keep clean. Also the Bulb lasts a really long time. But it is not that expensive to replace, considering how long it does last.. Pictures below. Read the small print below the Lamp it describes features of the Lamp.

The "technical details" description, the fluorescent light wattage should indicate 27 watts, NOT 150. The wattage is plenty to light a medium sized (bed)room. The height of the lamp is 62.5", when the lamp/neck is fully vertical. The color is off-white; actually an extremely light gray. The two steel shafts securely screw together, then screwed to the base and secured by a single screw. The base is of substantial mass; it should keep it from easily being tipped. BE CAREFUL when folding, tucking in the excess cord; it is sort of a plump ribbon cable. There is just barely enough room to fold/tuck into the shafts. Overall a sturdy, substantial lamp. I just may buy another 1 or 2 for other rooms. I would recommend.

I love this lamp. I owned one before and it was ruined in a flood. I am so glad to have a replacement. This is a wonderful lamp to have by a favorite chair or in a craft area. I use it by my chair for reading, needlepoint, working on the computer or just watching TV. It can be aimed down on a project or shown across the room to lighten the whole area. The weighted base is steady and I have found it to be portable if you need to clean a large closet.

This is a good product. Don't get me wrong on this. The seller, however, is a different story. I placed an order for two of these lamps ( Bell and Howell Desk Lamp). Get Organized was the third party provider of the product through Amazon. Tbe first lamp came within days of the order being placed. I had a very difficult time in getting them to ship the second lamp and had to provide a lot of information that they should have already had. Even then they shipped the second one via a "slow boat to China". It took nearly three weeks to get the second lamp. This is definitely NOT what I've come to expect from Amazon or from ordering online.

I purchased this for my Mother who is having a hard time reading her books at the age of 81. This unit arrived within two business days of ordering it and it took me about 5 minutes to assemble. I placed the light behind her chair and turned it on and she was thrilled with the result. She is able to read wonderfully and direct the light where she needs it the most. I only gave it four stars because it would have been more convenient to have the on/off switch on the vertical pole instead of right up near the light. If my Mom is sitting in her chair it is a bit of a challenge to turn the light on/off. I solved this by installing one of the remote light switches so she can just turn it on from her table beside the chair. The light itself is VERY white and provide excellent contrast when reading a book. It is designed to provide a lot of light in a small area. Don't by this as a light for a den or bedroom. It is really designed for providing focused light for reading or hobblies.

I have macular degeneration and very hard to read or write checks. Been using a flashlight. This light is truly a blessing for me.

I was not fond of the light that my regular bedroom lamps threw. When I match colors of my outfits, the light did not show the colors in their true hues, and often I would not know until I walked outside into the sunlight. I have two sunlight floor lamps in my living room which I love because they give off true light so I had to be running out to the living room to check my outfit colors. So I decided to buy one of these floor lamps for my bedroom. Not only am I able to see the true coloring of my outfits(which I should know by heart now), but the bedroom is a lot brighter. The change is just wonderful and the brightness of the bedroom is a welcome change. The lamp was easy to put together with just a little extra work at the base, but nothing that anyone couldn't handle. Be sure to remove the extra wrapping on the wiring before trying to put it together. The directions are not very clear about that. Aside from that though, it was quick and easy to put together. I'm very pleased with it and happy I chose to buy another sunlight lamp.

There is plenty of "eye soft" light well dispersed over a large section of my desk. I bought this unit to replace my older unit of the same type that served me well for about two decades. I really like the snake neck and adjustability, and this is just what my eyes like to read and study by. Highly recommend, plenty of light unlike some cheaper brands.

Great lamp for the office and substitute for sunlight. (I don't get much sunlight where I sit). I'm still on the original bulb. Edit: I've had this lamp at work for 5 years and only had to replace the bulb once. Well worth the price.

I am really happy with my purchase. I now can sit anc crochet to my hearts content with the proper light to see my stitches. thanks also for the fast delivert.

I really like this light it makes seeing what I am doing when I am sewing or crafting and vacuuming.

Unfortunately my office doesn't have direct sunlight, this lamp is a great substitute. It doesn't generate heat and it is very bright. When you stop thinking about it, you get the impression that the room is naturally light. Hard to describe, but it has the desired effect.

Well made for the price, metal base and pole, well weighted so it won’t tip over, good bright light.
