Great Value Buy You will be very pleased after buying ...
Great Value Buy You will be very pleased after buying this microscope, as it is an extremely good option, especially for the price. The ideal user would be an infrequent user that doesn't not require an extremely high quality internal look inside cells. I personally use this microscope for analyzing semen samples collected from swine. I am fully able to accurately assess motility and morphology of the cells. How It Can Help You This microscope will allow you to accurately view cells on a molecular level. If you are looking for a basic entry level microscope I am quite certain that this device will more than exceed your level of expectations. The criteria I used to evaluate this product are pretty basic; ease of use, quality of focus, and light permeability. You will find that this product is extremely to use. The basic setup of the focus knobs are easy to distinguish between the corse adjustment, larger knob, and fine adjustment, small knob, easily allowing you to finely adjust your viewpoint on your desired specimen. I also appreciate the quality of focus this device can provide its users, which after purchase I'm sure you will too. Lastly the adjustable bulb shade allows you to effectively shade the amount of light that penetrates the slide. This will allow you to easily push light through darker specimens or lower for clear cells. Closing The Deal Overall, I would highly recommend this product to nearly any entry level user it can come with a few draw backs for a more advanced user such as, inability to see inside cells clearly and lack of a binocular objective, which could be expected as it is clearly marketed as a monocular objective however I do think it could improve the ease and clarity of use. However, this scope has fully met and exceeded all of my expectations for this device and I am extremely happy with this product and would buy it again.

ABSOLUTE 5 out of 5!!
Straight out the box you get a good quality microscope. Everything is packaged well! The microscope has a good weight to it!! It doesn't feel like a toy. It comes with everything as stated. I like the fact that this uses both battery and adapter for the light source which includes a knob for brightening/dimming. While observing specimen, the lens clarity is amaizing!! Everything works how it supposed to. My only complaint is not having a knob to tune the stage left and right. I would've also liked if we were able to use that type C input with a cable for imaging but that's just a power adapter input. Overall I still give this product 5 stars! Definately a good buy! Good value for the price!

Awesome microscope for the Price.
I bought this for my Aquarium Hobby and for my daughter. Mainly for myself. The 2 of us have a lot of fun looking at stuff. This really opened up my daughters mind. She said "now I want to see what everything looks like under a microscope." The photo I posted are of parasites/bugs I found in my Fish poop. I also did a Skin scrape of my fish to check for External parasites and that did not have as many fun things as the poop. The stool sample was just a Squish mount and I was very happy with the quality of this scope. I had a Cheap kid microscope back when I was 10 years old in the 80s. I loved that thing, but this one is SO much better. I am happy I made the upgrade. So worth the money. I worked in Vet offices for years and went to vet tech school. So I have used a microscope before. This scope can see most of what you need. I would like a moving stage. You need a moving stage if you want to do a good Fecal or blood scan. This stage does not move. You have to move the side by hand and that is a pain. It is easy to miss things when you do it by hand. So for just general use I love it. It feels really well made I would have liked binocular lens but that was too much money for the amount of time I was going to use it for. If anyone keeps fish and knows what Parasites or "bugs" I have here please let me know. The microscope can only help you if you know what it is you are looking at. I have much research to do.

A nice budget microscope; some minor shortcomings but no deal-breakers. A solid choice for viewing items of interest up-close.
We have so far only looked at a couple of things in this microscope; a small flying bug placed on a slide, and a drop of blood (I cut myself doing some home improvement projects, so captured a drop on a slide). This microscope does a fine job of allowing us to view these things up very close. I'm definitely glad I got this version with the fine-adjustment knob included rather than the less expensive version with only the coarse adjustment knobs. The microscope itself feels solid and well-made. The 3-element rotating assembly works well and is nice and tight. The LED under-light works well with a nice smoothly adjustable brightness level. The stage is stable, with useful slide clips, and adjustable light aperture disc located underneath. This unit works equally well on battery power as with an AC adapter; for my purposes I'm sure we will only ever use it with batteries. The microscope also comes with a nice dust cover to protect it when not in use, and a secondary eyepiece to provide additional magnification when desired. At the highest magnification level with the more powerful eyepiece, the LED light does struggle to provide sufficient lighting, but you can still make out details on your subject slide well enough. Honestly, at this price, I am quite happy with this purchase. I wish the LED light was capable of a bit more brightness, but for most purposes it works pretty well. The scope is sturdy and feels like it will last quite awhile. I also wish it had come with a better storage sleeve for the additional eyepiece. Even better still if the microscope had a place to store the extra eyepiece, or came with a storage case, but I'll make do. Overall, it should work great for showing my young daughter the interesting and amazing world of microscopic viewing.

Great Microscope for 10th grade biology.
After reading some of the reviews, I was leery of buying this microscope. However, after receiving it I'm glad I did... The box was in good shape. The contents were sealed in plastic and styrofoam. Batteries were sealed, not used. Everything was new, not reshipped. The scope has three objective lenses; red for low power, yellow for medium power, and blue for high power. The scope comes with two eyepieces: one WF 10X and one WF 25X (both widefield). That is what the WF stands for. The scope also comes with a power adapter, just in case you don't want to use batteries. And, it comes with a plastic dust cover. Someone complained about the scope not having an upper light. I used a small LED flashlight with good success. As someone pointed out. one picture shows the scope hooked to a computer. This is very misleading, but for the price, it can be overlooked. I happen to have a Celestron 93709 NexImage Solar System Imager, which I bought to use with my 10-inch telescope. It isn't much use unless you have a scope that tracks. My scope is manual. However, I found the imager of great use with a microscope. I have another MF10X eyepiece form a less expensive microscope, and it snuggly fits the imager. I am able to take pictures with my computer using the imager and scope. I bought the microscope for my grandson. It will be of great use in his Biology Class. One more thing: for those complaining about the scope not coming with slides and extras; the price will not allow it. You get those things with cheaper scopes. This is a great scope for the price as is.

Fabulous
Viewing ability is great. Easy to use. Brightness is great, focus is good. Slide quality is great. It is great microscope for beginners, not to cheap but not top of the line. Quality of what you use in high school. Good weight to it. Would order again

The Microscope That Made My Kid a Backyard Explorer
I'm pretty sure my kid spent a good hour of her life staring at a blade of grass. That's what this microscope does. It's not just a toy; it's a gateway to a tiny, fascinating world you never knew existed. The 40X-1000X magnification is no joke—she went from "is that a leaf?" to "oh my goodness, that leaf has a whole civilization on it." The fact that it comes with everything you need to get started is a huge bonus. The two clips are perfect for securing newfound treasures (and weird garden bugs), and the eyepieces are super clear. My kid has gone on daily "specimen safaris," and it's turned our backyard into the most exciting place on Earth. If you're looking for a way to make science cool and discover just how many weird things live in your house, this is the microscope for you. It's the perfect mix of educational and utterly mesmerizing.

At This Stage ...
Beware of the "MS" part. I really like a mechanical stage and with a drop of epoxy I can probably stabilize the broken slide drive knob. But what sort of irks me a little bit is whoever packed the box put in the wrong Mechanical Stage and the slide center will not go all the way to the center axis of the objective. I believe that I can route it out with my dremel tool and fix it up nicely so that the slide goes far enough back. But for you all who do not have a dremel, be aware. The price at Amazon for the correct MS is $22.17 and the difference because of the MS being included in the bundle appears to be only about $10 or $11 so I am not thinking that I will complain. I got it today and just checked it out. I have some fairly high quality 'scopes for my grandchildren, eventually, and thought I would get them broken in to the art on something kind of cheap but this might be stretching it a bit. The optics seem pretty terrific and I would have saved up for less when I was their age. The ac power plug disconnects the battery and saves the battery for truly outdoor outings. The LED is very bright and of course, cool. I doubt that there is any coating on the glass just a guess, but they say that it is glass. There is no screw holding the ocular in place so I thought it prudent to wrap a couple of inches of electrical tape around the tube. Really - not bad. Could this be love?
