Root Legacy Veriglass Scented Candle, Small, Mountain Larkspur

These are the only glass-packaged candles I buy. Was buying Root large vanilla which comes in a huge jar, but I like the simple shape of these glasses - they just look prettier. Hard to get any better than Root; their candles burn clean (keep wick trimmed), long burning, fragrant without giving me a headache (the scents create a warm, yummy atmosphere without knocking you senseless -- just a nice "smells good in here" effect), non-toxic and completely natural.Keep up the great work, Root and thank you!

For me, the word "patchouli" immediately conjures thoughts of unbathed hippies, drum circles, and OWS camps. This scent is far from being a true patchouli scent, but what it is is a masculine, woodsy, warm and inviting scent. Perfectly suited for a bachelor pad--and trust me guys, as much as you may think your place smells good, you could probably use some help. The candle lasts for the stated time, and the scent sticks around for a few days after last burning it. This is probably due to the fact Root uses real essential oils and not cheaper scent oils. Not the cheapest candle out there, but it's one of the best I've come across at any price.

I'm really not hapoy as was so excited to find candle that was essential oils and wd burn ckean and although q3.00 high as heck I figured worth it if smelled great there's a very faint smell and smells like laundry soap and I live in very small place so. I'm beyond dissatisfied was big deal for ne ti buy as on fixed income. Suoer dussapointed

This candle has been burning for a decent amount of time, which is good. The scent isn't as amazing at was indicated by some reviewers here, or by the description. It smells nice, but not really like real wood of any sort. It doesn't have a "fake" smell - I'm darned if I can come up with what the scent reminds me of - kind of like a cross between unscented baby powder & sandalwood incense, maybe. It's pleasant, but I don't think I love it enough to order it again.

I loved the light scent, but other reviewers are right that you can actually smell it more when it's not lit than when it is. That said, I've never used a whole candle before and I'm in search for a new one because this one is done.Update:So far I've had Chocolate and Balsam which I thought were really nice scents. I just got Sun Dried Cotton which has to be the worst candle ever. It smells like bug spray. I hate it. I am a super thrifty person, but I'm going to toss this candle and get a different one.

I am a big recycler and I use these as glasses after I burn them - have even given a few away to new neighbors in my apt bldg who needed some glasses. I have been using 4 of them as glasses for the last year and they are still going strong. I researched online about beeswax and apparently it not only burn clean it also cleans the air. These candles are the bomb! My favorite is the salted caramel - will make your whole house smell like a yummy dessert.

I began using Root candles two decades ago. They are highly scented and last a long time, a good value for the price. It's difficult to decide on a scent without a real sniff, but these candles were carried in my work "gift shoppe" and the sampaquita scent was always the most in-demand, hands down. A warm, exotic fragrance that fills your home after a short time (has a good "throw"). Highly recommend!

Burns evenly (good wax pool, not losing wax to the sides, decent quality wax) and good scent throw, but I do not like the scent itself. It smells leafy but burnt and somewhat sickly sweet, with the spice notes coming across as artificial. Good quality candle overall, but the scent is not appealing to me.
