PEDAL COMMANDER for Toyota Tacoma 2005–2023 – Throttle Response Controller to Help Reduce Accelerator Lag – 4 Driving Modes + App Control – Off-Road Performance Mods, Upgrades & Tacoma Accessories

Just installed the Pedal Commander for 3rd Gen Tacoma. For the initial test, I left it turned off to gauge the stock throttle response...and it was very laggy, as usual. I then went to Sport mode at the lowest setting -POW!...it made a huge difference right away. The throttle was crisp and immediate. Next was Sport+ at the highest setting, and SHAZAAM! -the Tacoma launched very aggressively. I will settle on regular Sport mode on setting +2, as that for me has the best response to pedal feel. This is truly an amazing product that works exactly as advertised! I'm so glad I bought this! (July 11, 2025).

I wasn't too sure in the beginning but once I watched the install video and installed it, it was one of the easiest mods I did to my Tacoma and it's like driving a whole new truck highly recommended from beginners to experienced drivers it has everything you want in a tuner. My truck thanks you Pedal Commander and Amazon.

What an improvement this product has made for my 2020 Tacoma truck. It has completely eliminated the throttle lag. I should have purchased this item 4 years ago. I highly recommend it.

I was looking for a little more response from my throttle, and having the truck tuned was a little out of budget/no local tuners. Absolutely works as intended. Couple of things I would have liked to have known before purchasing...1. The Sport and Sport+ mode will cause you to spin out from a dead stop if you don't have decent tires. City -2 is plenty to remove throttle lag from a dead stop and give your vehicle a sportier feel (at least in a 21 Tacoma Sport).2. This device does not differentiate between drive and reverse. You will rocket backwards out of a parking spot if you are not careful. This in particular keeps me out of sport mode, and why I leave a 4 instead of 5 star review.

This has completely changed my driving experience with my 2017 Taco. I just run it with a slight boost adjustment and it does wonders. It now accelerates strong without the hesitation. Very easy to install, I just tucked it under the carpet by the middle console. I've been using this for over a year now with no issues. I wish had something like this when I bought the truck in 2018. But that's ok, now I feel like I have new vehicle. I'll be keeping it for much longer now.

I was excited to make this purchase for my 2021 Tacoma. It had great reviews. But of course I never got it fully installed to see if it help.My issue was the Pedal Commander plug refused to click into my truck plug at the pedal. I contacted Pedal Commander via chat and spoke with Sena (probably and AI bot) explaining the situation, IT sent me two videos, that I already watched. Then when I recontacted Pedal Commander, IT said "If you cannot connect the plug then have a mechanic install it." Well my neighbor is a mechanic it and he couldnt get it to click in. It was like their plug was not centered correctly so the male and female end would slide and click into place. So after Great customer service from. Pedal Commander, I decided to send it back for a the Amazon refund.

Stellar product! I own a 2007 Toyota Tacoma 4.0L and have always been very disappointed with the amount of performance products available for this truck. In other words, there is hardly anything out there. I was very skeptical about this product as well, and I I decided to call the customer service at Pedal Commander to see what they had to say about this unit on my specific truck. She was able to get me the data I was looking for, so I took the plunge and bought it. They and the retailer who sold me this unit where very responsive in making sure that I received the correct model for my truck (as requested in the item description). When I received the unit a couple of days ago, the instructions where very clear and concise as well. I was having issues in taking off my wiring harness on the pedal itself, so I called Pedal Commanders customer service once again, and the tech was very helpful. He text me pics of the Toyota gas pedal harness so I could see how the clip off and was a huge help. I've now had this unit a couple of days installed, and it makes a huge difference on how responsive the gas pedal is... This does not add any HP, just makes sure that you grab the available HP when and how you like it from the gas pedal. My Tacoma drives like a new machine now and the immediate response on "sport" mode with level 5 tuning is outstanding. It is much quicker than I imagined and I would highly recommend this to anyone especially those 2005-2013 2nd Gen Tacoma owners. What a difference for $299!
