Jaggery - Gur Pure & Chemical Free (Pack of 10pcs, Each 220g)

No doubt this item comes well packed and look nice in appearance. Unfortunately when you add a piece to a glass of tea with milk, you can see very bad slimy deposit all around the cup. Its almost like slit. Am afraid to use it thinking its some kind of chemical or so. Hence am using it for making compost manure. As the purpose is not served it is waste of money.

We have been using Dhampure Jaggery and Jaggery powder for more than a year now however this is ghe first time ordering from Amazon. As you can see in the picture, the package is mouldy and bad. The taste is really awful. Not sure where is the miss but definitely a disappointment.

Ordered 10 packets of jaggery bars of 220 gms each. But received only one packet of jaggery bar and another 2 packets of jaggery powder of 700 GMs each.That is 1620 gms only instead of 2200 gms. Product also different.

Received 10 packets on 2nd September. 5 packets were in semi solid condition. The packets were leaking also. I thought it may be due to hot weather. But it remained the same till yesterday. I had written to the Dhampur Sugar company but no reply receive. The solid ones was covered with fungus and in two packets live insects were found. The Jaggery was rotten and I threw all the packets in the bin.It is surprising that inspite of so many complaints about the product, the company is continuing selling this rotten product through Amazon even now.Will never buy the product of this company.

There is no Chana Gur in composition. The description is wrong. The quality of Gur is also not good. Dhampur has compromied the quality of gur for now.

We don't eat sugar in our house. Honey and gur are the sweeteners used. The big size cakes of traditional gur are inconvenient and difficult to handle. There is also a question mark on the quality. Sometimes the gur is contaminated with mud. To overcome all these issues we started using branded, packaged gur. Dhampur, which has a great reputation in the field of sugar was an easy choice to make. The gur is packaged in easy to handle size cakes. The packaging is neat and hygienic. The texture of the product is soft and crumbly and not overly sticky. The color is brown. The taste is good. We normally eat it as a sweet dish after meals or with tea. I have also used it as a sweetener in cakes. It gives the cake an exotic flavor.

When I opened the packing I can smell the fermentation of the jaggery. The melted jaggery has leaked out of the sealed packs and was all over the pack. I opened one of the sealed pack and the fermentation was clear. I ordered this with lot of hope but it was a big disappointment.

Few pieces were melting. Overall very costly
