TEAM MAGNUS Kids' Wetsuit - Unique 5mm Neoprene Shorty - Extremely Insulating and Elastic for Kids Age 3-14

We thought this was a great shortie wetsuit for our very thin daughter who gets blue lips swimming in the cold Pacific. We chose this because it was thicker and were willing to pay extra for it. However, on day 2 of its use, the plastic zipper pull completely broke off making it useless. We did not use significant force, it just broke. We will attempt to return it.Amendment: had no trouble getting a replacement and it's now been used 3 times with no issues. I'm cautiously optimistic that it will last for years.

We tested out the suit in the shower. It's a good quality, high-tensile neoprene, nicely snug and insular. The fabric is fairly thick and durable. Water didn't get inside. The zipper has a flange that partially covers it, and a pull "tail" to make getting it off easier. Like any real wetsuit it was a challenge to shimmy into, but once my 9 year old got it on he didn't want to take it off. He likened it to wearing Kevlar. This will definitely keep sand on the beach and not in his suit. I like the contrasting colors at the neckline and shoulders. To get out of it I helped him get one arm out then he was able to do the rest. Overall good value.

We Really like this product. We bought one for our 10 year old special needs son who gets cold very quickly in the pool water. We were able to keep him in the pool for a few hours and when we got him out he wasnt chattering or anything and was nice and warm inside the suit. Will deff be buying more in the future as he grows.

I purchased 3 of them because of the 5mm thermal thickness which works very well in the chilly Pacific. But all three suits left a very painful neck mark (both sides) on all three kids ( 8.9 11) who are not at all overweight. The suits (all correctly sized) are simply too tight at the neck. Way too tight. I am not sure that I will be able to persuade them to wear them again. It is a design flaw. I am a former military diver so please do not say this is how they should be. My kids were pulling at them after 20 minutes.

Great quality. Strong zipper. Easy to put on and sizing true to size. Bought for my niece. She is 3.5 yrs old and 3/4 yrs fit well. She loved it and eager to use out on the lake. Colors are vibrant but not obnoxiously so—they’re pretty. (We bought the blue)

My son gets so cold when we go to the pool that he generally refuses to go, hence my decision to get a wetsuit. The problem in previous years has been that the suits look cute, but don't appear to add any warmth. This suit is both adorable (yet manly enough for my 8 year old) and warm! He loves going to the pool now.

our 8 yr. old grandson loves to boogie board with his grandfather, but he is very lean and gets cold quickly. This suit makes him comfortable for a much longer time. He needs help getting out of the suit, but he can put in on by himself. The only problem is his neck gets irritated. We are looking for a solution to that problem.

This was the only 5 mm wetsuit I could find in a child's size and it was perfect! They run a little small (my son is only 4'7" and weighs about 60 lb and I believe he wears an XL. He used this under his long wetsuit when he got SCUBA certified in a cold lake. He also wears this over the summer when he's just playing in the lake. Keeps him warmer because he has no body fat. Also makes it so I don't have to put sunscreen all over him :)GREAT quality, very warm, highly recommended!

So disappointed. Thought I had found the perfect kids wetsuit. 5mm shorty, easy to get on and off, keeps the core beautifully warm, allows really easy movement in the sea, but.... The zipper is made from plastic?!Why would they compromise on this most important detail when everything else is so perfect?!Ordered 2 is these but both failed in exactly the same way. I have attached photos so you can see where the plastic has failed, precisely where it needs to be strongest and be able to cope with the force of a child zipping and unzipping themselves. If a metal unit had been used, like every other wetsuit on the market, this would be 5 stars.So instead we are back to using a 3/2mm Aldi full childs wetsuit.

For kids who still love water no matter the weather these thicker, high quality wetsuits are a must have item. Much better quality than other wetsuits I have seen available for this size/age and this really makes a difference when the water is cold. They can have fun for longer and no blue lips!Can't fault it.

Hugely disappointing.We brought two of these suits away with us, one for each of our kids who are 5 and 3. The first time we attempted to put the suits on, the zips snapped off - it turns out they are just painted plastic and in no way up to the job.Two returned wetsuits, two disappointed kids.
