ArtStone 35358.01 Ella Tall Planter Black 35.5-inch

We purchased 3 of the 27.5 inch tall Ella planters in grey to replace old whiskey barrel planters that were falling apart. I wanted a natural pottery or stone look but those were too heavy. I found these planters made of a stone/resin composite that looked better than anything in my local area, crossed my fingers and ordered them. Ordered on a Sunday, arrived on Wednesday, absolutely beautiful! Sturdy, thicker and better quality than any of the plastic planters I had looked at, the composite looks amazingly like stone instead of a flat color. Unfortunately one had shipping damage so I started a return/replacement. There was detailed information requesting to contact the seller prior to returning so I sent an email with photos. I received an immediate reply back, after a couple more emails the replacement was on its way and arrived on Saturday. All this took less than a week, unbelievable. I am so happy I took a chance and ordered these! A little expensive, but well worth it. If I need anything else, I will definitely look at this family owned business first!

This planter is the right size, height, & color to show off this peace lily. Matches decor also. Self watering reservoir a big plus no drainage for leakage unless you pop out the plug.

It's light enough to move, and the watering feature works - on the one that didn't crack. I need to replace one that has cracked and doesn't hold water. I think they need to be a little thicker to hold up a little better but the one that has held up is beautiful on my front porch. It looks like copper to match a small roof section we have - but without the crazy copper price.

We purchased 4 of these to go in front of our house. We placed them between the windows and planted miniature pines that will grow to 5 feet. we took out the plugs and strainer and filled 1/4 with rock for drainage (they to have a single drainage hole) - then filled with a mixture of manure and potting soil. Now we will place lamps on the ground shooting up, either at the tree from the front or behind it. They are really sophisticated and very rugged - and much less expensive than any other options I looked at for this size. The neighbors are impressed. The only thing is that there is a shipping restriction so you can't order more than three at a time - So I ordered two and my husband ordered two - but only three came in boxes - one (missing all its guts - just came with a UPS lable stuck to it.) We should have ordered two to be delivered one day - and two to be delivered the next. I guess the boxes take up so much room on the truck that they have to limit the number to three. They were packed very well - except for the unpacked one, but it wasn't damaged. but missing its screen, etc... Half of our house is in shade - so we will be able to shift these around (with a hand truck) to even out their growth rate. They look fabulous - really. And are well made.

I have purchased several these planters over the years, and they've been worth every penny. They're durable, and I love the inner false bottom so they need not be filled completely with soil so they're able to be moved by myself. I have tried cheaper, thinner brands but they have all split from the weight. Highly recommend !!

This planter is well made. Not too heavy, not too light. It appears to be made from a plastic resin which has had some stone powder added to make the plastic stiff. Very attractive "slate like" appearance. If I was buying this for use as a planter it would be perfect. The included drainage system in the bottom is a good idea. It arrived in perfect condition.Instead of a planter, I will use this upside down as a pedestal in my garden. I'll modify it to support a "mystical glass ball" which I plan to light from below with a color changing LED spotlight powered by my 12v landscape light system timed to go off and on automatically with darkness. I'm hoping for a cool, somewhat mystical look. Maybe I'll add photo later when completed.
