This journal is absolutely stunning! The quality is excellent. It comes with three notebooks (plain paper) inside which are of great quality also. Such good value for money and would make an excellent gift for anyone. Really well packaged with some nice wee touches added! I can’t wait to start using it!

This is a beautiful and adaptable journal. The leather cover is soft and ages well. It will mark, but that's part of the charm of leather. The paper for the inserts is good quality and quite thick - ink hasn't bled through. It's useful that you can fit any A5 size notebook inside if you choose not to use Wanderings own booklets (though I haven't tried that yet). Wanderings provides plain, lined and dotted. Fitting the booklets can be a little fiddly the first time, but there are videos to show you how. The elastic for holding the journal closed seems fairly hardy, but you can buy new ones separately if needed over time. The whole seems quite sturdy so I'm looking forward to years of use.

I'm so happy to have found this!I tried a few, but not many available with this filling string mechanism whereby you can fill it with more than one notebook insert, and the others I tried could not fit standard A5 notebooks in papers I prefer.The quality of this leather journal cover is gorgeous, it's very thick and soft and high quality.It's amazing value for money, especially as it comes with 3 notepad inserts supplied. I didn't want to write on blank paper, so I've just filled it with 3 x A5 Clairefontaine notebooks, which fit perfectly, and above all this is what I eonter a leather cover for. Couldn't find one the right size anywhere else.After I took the 3 supplied inserts out, I found it a bit tricky to work out how to get the 3rd of my books in. The first 2 were easy. Thankfully, they provide a really helpful product video, showing how you fill it, and I was able to work it out after watching that.I enclosed photos. It's absolutely perfect for my needs, and such beautiful quality. This is the 3rd brand I purchased, and the only one which is suitable and wasn't misdescribed for fitting actual A5.Many thanks to the seller for answering my pre-purchase query.I think this is the best leather notebook cover on the market.

Yes, this fits a Leuchtturm1917 A5 notebook just fine! With 3-4mm spare on the long edge and 5mm spare at the top and bottom, you’ll have good all round coverage for your notebook. The three notebooks supplied stack much thicker than a Leuchtturm and fit nicely, so plenty of room when you swap them out for an A5 notebook with about 200-250 pages of about 70-90GSM, so a notebook spine/overall thickness of between 10-20mm is ok.The unfolded dimensions of the product are I think intended to be approx 325mm x 225mm, +\- probably 1-2mm in production. Mine is about 325mm x 223mm. A standard A4 piece of paper fits within the cover easily. The leather is about 2-3mm thick.I’ve used the pocket size version of this (filled with a stack of 4 Moleskine Cahiers) for years and it’s held up really well. Lovely patina over time, the leather colour gets a faded richness with use. The A5 version has rounded corners which is a nice addition, as my pocket notebook cover corners went a little curly (inward) over time as they weren’t rounded, but that’s not really an issue. The only other thing is that the inside of the cover can get a little fibrous or fluffy due to the nature of the material. That said, this product will last you a long time. Don’t worry about small scratches or marks, they fade and wear off. The compass point symbol lasts as well, that doesn’t seem wear too much.The only thing that I don’t really like is the small brass-like tubes on the top and bottom of the elastic. I find the top one eats into the elastic over time as it rotates. So the first thing I do is remove these and sometimes put something else on the bottom one, like a small bit of leather or bead.As for the supplied notebook inserts, they’re alright, paper is quite nice. Ok for note taking or doodles. Paper preferences are largely subjective so find what works for you.Overall, it’s a really nice notebook cover. Well made, wears nicely, takes a variety of papers and notebooks but do check your sizes.

Beautiful book! My son loves it for college. Just about everything he needs stating it's handy for changing books & refills. Leather is good quality & well made throughout. Can get away with stressed look for several years I believe.

Great value and lovely feel. I have another from a different supplier which cost a great deal more and although advertised as an A5, is not as big as the Wanderings A5 notebook.Included as standard are blank notebooks, making this an excellent acquisition.

Good, not excellent build quality. But not A5, considerably more narrow than standard A5. Can not hold A5 notebooks or inserts. You have to buy the wandering branded custom sized “A5” inserts which are not good enough quality to be of any real use and are priced at a premium.Not worth buying.
