Much cheaper than going to the vet!
This product works perfectly for the flea/deworming medications I give my cats monthly. Normally they're a struggle to medicate and I've tried everything from pill pockets to mixing it in with wet food, they're just too clever. This makes my job easier as I'm able to shoot the pill in the back of their mouth easily and without sustaining any injuries. The plastic on pill gun had some extra plastic that needed to be cut off but other than it's easy to use.

Saves Fingers
Everyone who has a cat knows how hard it is to administer pills. These two devices make it much easier and cut down on the risk of getting bit. In some ways, it may even make it easier for the cat.Between the two, they pretty much accommodate most sizes and shapes of pills. Like any device, you have to use it a few times to feel comfortable with it.I have to administer pills every day, these have made it easier and more efficient because in addition to putting more distance between the cat’s teeth and my fingers, it also results in fewer lost pills from the cat spitting them out.

Too big for cats
The pill shooter is way too big for cats, cheaply made. The syringe does work.

Very Hard To Use And Ineffective
I bought this pill shooter thinking it would help me give allergy medication to my adult indoor cat. The vet diagnosed allergies in April so I started giving my cat ½ tablet of allergy medication morning and evening dissolved in a little bit of water with a tiny bit of wet food. Prior to this Annie was happy with her dry food. Fast forward 5 months and Annie’s gained considerable weight so I’m trying to wean from wet food and purchased this pill shooter to help with that. I practiced with it ahead of time, putting the ½ tablet into the “grippers” and pushing it out as if inside Annie’s mouth. I tried it several times and couldn’t get it to release the tablet consistently so I thought maybe the pill is too small. I tried to make a small wet food ball with the pill inside and put the whole thing into the shooter and that didn’t work at all. I decided to just try it and see what happens and it didn’t release the pill. I’m going to keep looking for one with a single slot in the end of a flexible rubber end that you just slide the pill onto and the shaft pushes it into the cats mouth just past the gag reflex. This pill shooter didn’t work at all.

must have for cat pills
This is something I will never be without. It is a must have for giving pills to cats, especially the crabby ones! My only complaint is that the ends of the syringe start to fray after a few uses. Not the end of the world, but makes it hard to keep the pills in.

Easier than I thought possible
My pets hate to get their meds.I hate to get my thumb bitten by an irate kitty. This solves both problems at least for me. It’s quick and efficient, the cats hardly have time to swear at me much less bite my thumb. The dogs don’t mind getting their pills at all either. They, however, wouldn’t dare bite anyone

Amazingly effective
I’m not sure what’s with all the negative reviews? Our cat was diagnosed with tapeworms but for the life of me I couldn’t get him to eat the pills. Shoving down his throat with a finger didn’t work (coughed them up), crushing in food didn’t work (he ignored the food until it MOLDED), hiding in his favorite treats didn’t work. First attempt with this neat device worked! Successfully gave him a pill and a half. My partner held him still while I opened his mouth an inserted the piller as per directions. Amazingly effective

water/medication leaks out
The liquid dispenser is good in theory but doesn't work in execution as the liquid leaks out both ends while you're getting the pet. When I saw that the medicine was leaking out of the tip end, I did what anyone would do and raised that end up in the air as I walked towards the pet I intended to medicate. This caused the liquid to come out the handle end all over my hand. The idea is sound and if it were tightly sealed would have been wonderful. But it's not so I went back and used a basic medical syringe without a needle and "shot" the medicine in. I really liked the idea of the finger rings making it easier to shoot, too.
