Seidman Flute Stopper Plug

I have used these on several different flutes. Simple to install and seals perfectly upon installation- and ought to continue to do so indefinitely.Does it sound noticeably different or better than a properly installed leak free normal cork? Quite frankly, not that I can tell. Does it sound better than an older normal cork that has begun to shrink and leak? Absolutely. Does it get "stuck" over time as a normal cork does- making adjustments painful? No.Over time its continuing seal and continued ease of removal/adjustment/insertion for periodic head joint cleaning makes it a real boon.

It's great! Very easy to install. Put it on some of my students' older flutes and noticed much better intonation and sound. Yes it's better to get a new, real, cork every year, but most of them just play once a week in band for fun, and definitely won't keep up with that. It's a perfect solution.

I had this put into my back-up flute for proof of concept. The instructions given are very good, but since my tech heat seals the cork I preferred to let him take it out and install this new one. My tech (a retired music teacher and professional musician) had me play a 2 octave scale without it, then again after it was installed. His eyes literally popped open wide with the newly installed stopper. I have since used it in 4 rehearsals both ensemble and bands, and the flute definitely holds its own, very responsive, more audible tone, and literally no cracking. I'm ordering one for my main flute today!

Vert disappointed...probably m fault...I need the end piece not the cork, so it did not meet my needs!

Installed into a Haynes Q2. Brought the flute back to life! My student loved it.

I am a college student who is majoring on the flute. I had recently upgraded my flute and had been hoping to use my old flute to teach my younger cousin how to play, but when I checked it out, I noticed it needed the cork replaced and thought that rather than pay to have it replaced i would give this a shot. I got it in the mail and had to remove the dreaded old cork (which was quite a difficult task) and i put this one on. There were no instillation instructions, so I looked up how to do it, and Ta-Da! The high notes now come out with such clarity and volume that they did not have before :) I would completely recommend this to a fellow flautist!

Almost like I have a totally different flute. Fits VERY tightly but once it is in position, it works wonderfully!!! I am glad that I don’t have to worry about cork degrading anymore!!!

My flute has never sounded better! I noticed better control in the higher and lower registers as well as a clearer sound. Worth every penny!
