Can you print from an iPad on this printer?

Yes, once the printer is configured on your wi-fi network, the iPad will discover via normal print or AirPrint. Also, I would suggest setting a static IP address on the printer instead of DHCP, but not imperative.

can it be plugged into 2 separate computers at the same time?

We have our two computers plugged into a network hub (I think that's the right expression!) and the printer is plugged into that as well so that it can be used by either computer. Because this is also connected to the wireless router I can also access the printer from my laptop. I hope that helps.

Hello, i would suggest you to connect it to your router using a network cable. It is cheaper than USB and allow you to share your printer and also to print remotely while not at home and with the PC turned off.
