Required on a VW 2.slow plug/wire change
The VW 2.0 nat aspirated (2.slow) engine has its intake manifold right above the plugs. Getting to the #2 and #3 plugs is difficult at best, as its a tight soace. Plugs can be reached with some finagling using universal adapter w/socket, however getting the plug wires to seat correctly is difficult. You can use a hose plier as I did the first time, and it feels like a good seat, but it wasnt. The wire harness clicks two times, I was quitting at the first click, and it felt solid, but it wasnt. I kept getting misfires. After swapping out the wires a second time, I still got misfires. I figured Id try this tool, and just the ease of getting the wire in its intended space was a no brainer, and then a firm second click, and it was perfectly seated. Easy peasy, no smashed up knuckles. If you own this 2.0 (Not the TSi), and service it yourself, get this tool. These cars are famous for misfires....I wonder how many are b/c of this same issue, and just blame the car. Cheers!

Job would be nearly impossible without this tool.
Works exactly as advertised. All the right bends and angles are in the tool already. Once you learn how to hook the spark plug boot with the tool, it comes off in seconds. Changed four spark plugs in under 15 minutes. Of course, if you feel like pulling the intake manifold and a bunch of other stuff off instead of taking the easy way with this tool, save your $15.

Skeptical? It really works!!
I was told to buy the tool by another VW/Audi owner enthusiast. I was super skeptical! This thingy-ma-bob is pretty rad! I was able to pull the boots without having to remove the throttle body ducting! I was quoted $900-ish (California money, so not real money, more like Monopoly money) to do the ignition module, wires and plugs!! I did it all myself, with Amazon’s assistance of course, for $150. Bammmmm!!!

Breaks easily
Used it on a vw bug. Worked great for two plugs and broke on the third. Needs a better weld where the handle meets the tool.
