Not too impressive but would say they are better than cheaper ones but not as good as Princeton Velvets.

This is a nicely packaged set of good all around, multi-purpose brushes. This is great for the student artist who needs to get up and running with a good number of brushes that will all come in handy for a painting. There is a bit of everything in this set. The box says that the contents of the box are hand picked but the advertisement lists the contents and this box is an exact match to the sizes listed in the advertisement. I have three sets of kingart brushes and two were great, one was not at all the same quality as this set and the first set, so the packer makes a difference. Hopefully the reviews influence this for future customers so all of us get the great quality and selection we want. I paint in acrylic, oil, and watercolor, but mostly acrylic and these are great. They hold their shape with use and cleaning. There is no shedding, and they hold a good amount of paint, offering a good delivery.This particular set would make a great gift for the crafty person in your life, or if you have a child who is a blooming artist, this would be exciting to receive as well. This box contained an extra brush, I wasn't expecting that, and I'm not sure if this was a promotion or advertised, but I like it. I've included some photos to show the unboxing experience. Not perfectly held in place, but not bad. The brush handles are very attractive, stylish and fun. They are comfortable to hold and the length is a good working length, not short and are well balanced as a tool.If you paint, you know that the brush matters and you can waste a lot of time with a bad brush. I'd say these are great student level brushes but there are winners in this set as well, and all for a very good price right now. At the time of this review this set was priced at 92.39. That's a good value and all the brushes are useful.

This is an excellent set of brushes. They’re perfect for acrylics and very good for watercolor as long as you’re not looking for a thirsty brush.One of the first things I do to test brushes is check out the marks each one can make on a zen board, then by making a color chart.These allow for excellent precision, don’t hold a ton of water so can easily cover different amounts of paper by choosing which brush to use. The variety of brushes makes this a breeze.I really like the handles on these too. They’re a smokey transparent gray plastic and all have chiseled ends. Very handy if you like marking a damp wash...you don’t have to hunt for another brush!They are (as always) packaged very carefully, and (as usual) I will be using the box for something else. It’s that nice! I paint the lid and use them for storage, gifts, etc. waste not, want not, lol!P.S. They included an extra brush in this set, in its own plastic packaging. It has a white band around the middle of the handle and “kingart” is printed on it but I have no idea what it is! Unfortunately I like it a LOT!(Can be seen in photo.)

These are great brushes. These are well made and the hairs/fibers are firmly attached. When treated properly, the brushes hold their shape. These are better than the brushes that I used in college as an art major in the early 2000's, and the price per brush was on par with these. I want to start painting again, and am looking forward to putting these through the paces.My container came with an unlabeled bonus paintbrush that isn't from this set, but it is of the same quality level.If you have never had quality brushes before, to care for your brushes and prolong their lives- do NOT let them sit bristle side down in containers as that will cause them to warp. If you do not have brush cleaner, have a sliver of bar soap near your brushes and you can use that to clean and condition your brushes. If you apply a small amount of soap to a brush that has lost or is losing its shape, you can use your fingers to reshape it a bit and it will dry in that shape.

I paint using oil and acrylics and so I have use for about half of these brushes, the round brushes being used for watercolor. I really like the flat brushes for both acrylic and oil. So far they haven't shed hairs and pick up the paint and release it nicely. I would buy these in the future but not as a set as some of the brushes are not useful for painting oil or acrylic. I am also not a big fan of the sleek handles they roll a bit in my fingers but it may be user error or I just need to adjust to them. The quality is good and I would recommend this brand.

My daughter, the aspiring artist, seems capable of working in any medium and lately she's been doing spectacular paintings that look one way in normal light, but look completely different with hidden features under a black light.She's been using amateur brushes before, but I picked these up as a step up from your Walmart variety brushes. This set has a lot of varying degrees of painting tips to cover just about anything that you can conjure up. She likes these brushes quite a bit and has stated that these work better than the brushes she had. They are easy to use and clean, she reports and gives it 2 enthusiastic thumbs up. They're great.
