Beauty

For those who lack vision...
This book has taken everything I ever learned from design school and has twisted it up in the best way possible. "SAGMEISTER & WALSH: Beauty" has opened my eyes (and soul) to change the way I look at (not just design) but our sorroundings, for our world is already beautiful and we need to stop finding flaws and ugly details in everything, justifying our lack of vision as a way of finding if something is "functional or not". Let's save the world with the beauty in it!

beautifully human
I totally feel comfortable from the beginning to the end while moving across the book. So neat so brief so beautiful and also inspiring and exciting good looking book. A book you would like to reread so many times...

informative and fast
First thing I have to say is: it raised my confidence to create beautiful designs. It opened my eyes to things I did understand or see before. This book is very informative and shows high level of understanding and attention to details in all aspects: design and content. What I liked most about it is that it's simplified and easy to understand. It's full of images that are relevant to what is written so I don't usually have to do extra research to see images of the things they are talking about.Great book.I would definitely recommend this book to fellow designers or even if you are interested in art.

kind of shallow
It's a beautiful book of course. But the contents are shallow and western-cultural-centered POV. I bought two, one as a gift, one for myself. Then I gave away the one for myself as well.

Must-have
Beautiful inside and out! As with other Sagmeister & Walsh books, this doesn’t disappoint. There is so much love and detail put into every aspect of this book, form and content alike. A must have for designers, but if you’re not one it will still speak to you! It provided me with great insights and challenged my perspective on things. Very happy to have gotten it, it’s also a perfect gift during the holiday season!

A way to define beauty like never before
Such a unique perspective on something we take for granted, or simply overlook. This book forces one to expand (and welcome) any prior definition of “beauty.” It’s a must read that warms the heart and the eye.

a beautiful read.
With such a complex subject Sagmeister & Walsh tackled it quite nicely. The attention to detail is well appreciated—not just visually. The content is relevant, historical, and informational. I think it has started a great dialogue for readers. Unfortunately, my book came a little damaged but I'll just consider it as added character.

Beautiful Book
A beautifully designed, printed and bound book. I can't fault Sagmeister and Walsh on this one. Really good quality slipcase too. Also love the details like if you bend the book up or down and look at the edge of the pages you can see different words

Really good
If you're at all interested in design this is a book you'll want, in Sagmeisters talk that I seen at GDFS he discussed a lot of the ideas from this book. It's also very interesting if you're not into design, the book itself is gorgeous. Also bend the book one way and then the other

Informative & Beautiful
The first part of the book is the most valuable, it is written in an appropriately academic style yet easy to read and digest. This is not a book all about Stefan and Jessica's work, which I was glad about. The last quarter of the book or so is just images of 'beautiful' things which fills out the total page count a bit.

Was not new condition as advertised
Good book, but had marks on and was a bit battered round the edges and spine already
