Very disappointed
Thought this would be a great grab bar in a smaller bathroom, so that my spouse would not fall into the glass shower. Worked great for 4 months, then kaboom, the weld broke and both it and my spouse it the floor. Spouse weighs around 185, so was under the weight limit on this grab bar.

Looks nice and folds away easily
Love this Grab Bar - using it in bedroom instead of bath. Husband is wheelchair bound and transfers to and from the bed was very difficult. He has strength only in one arm and needs to pull up instead of pushing up from the bed or chair. We mounted this on a side wall high enough for him to reach up and get leverage when folded out. He can then get to a standing position and with help pivot to get in or out of the bed. It is mounted to the studs in the wall and the wall is reinforced. When not in use it folds up out of the way. He can even reach out from the bed to the curve in the bar to help him move in the bed. He is tall, with long arms and by using the 30" bar it leaves room to get the wheelchair in and out. Wish I had thought of this earlier - makes it so much easier for him and for me.

Strudy Good Quality When It Counts Most
This item was purchased for my Dad who was returning home after weeks at a rehab center, we needed these bars to be installed and to be sturdy and provide stability. At a very fair price this product does the job that was needed. it is worth the investment if you need this for yourself or for a loved one.

I used this a handrail and it works great.
A hand rail for the steps into my garage would have cost over $300 and would have been difficult to install. The grab bar was easier to install on the door frame. I did use much larger screws than they supplied

Not sturdy
This product broke at the weld resulting in a fall and broken wrist. I’ve been trying to get in touch with the manufacturer with now luck. I have also emailed amazon and no answer. I do not recommend this product at all. I should also add the the person using this product was way under the weight limit.

We just installed this for my 88 year old dad with parkinson's. Make sure you have the blocking in the wall your putting it on or your drilling into studs for support.
