I have just received the netball post. It arrived promptly. I was able to assemble it in minutes without any problems. I agree with the other reviewer about the cardboard box surrounding it being poor because when it arrived the box was damaged but fortunately, inside the box, the 3 posts and the netball ring were bubble wrapped so there was no damage. It is a well built and good quality netball post, definitely worth the money. I had previously done a lot of research to decide which netball post to get and I did not want one I had to fill with sand or water and I wanted to be able to leave it outside all year. This netball post meets all my requirements.

Chose product because it looked solid and well made . It was for my grandaughter who is just starting with her school netball team , so I did not want to give her a 'plastic toy ' version . A slight reservation is that the metalwork will need a coat or two of paint every few years , but a small price to pay for quality . I am not sure that it was stated , but I bought the 10ft version and found it possible to remove one section of the pole to reduce the height for smaller kids .Certainly it lived up to my expectations . The free ball was a bonus and of good quality . Delivery was quicker than notified .

Great buy if you have a teenager keen on the sport. The right quality too. Very easy to assemble. Needs a weight on a windy night though! Fully recommend.

The good things about this product and vendor are...The tubing used for the pole, and the base box sections, are very strong. The base is solidly welded, though the weld spatter was not cleaned off before painting.The package contains a free Netball Size 5, and a net comes with the ring.It is painted a nice shade of green.It was shipped on Monday and arrived Midday Tuesday, despite saying it might take until Thursday.Less good things...The instructions show poles being slotted together - but no words indicate in what order. There are two types of pole (two foot and nearly three foot).Some of the welded on nuts didn't take a bolt because of weld splatter in the threads, or it not having been tapped properly.One nut protruded inside the tube, and could only be assemble after filing the nut swarf and protrusion flat.The worst thing was that one pole end has the hole 30mm from the end, but the pole that went into it had the bolt 35mm from the end. This needed redrilling - or in my case filing away of 5mm of steel. They should use jigs to make these parts, and make sure holes line up.When it's up, I am sure it will do the job, but it wasn't hassle free. As a former engineer, I think a simple thing like this should be made to fit properly - it's easy to do!I also think it will need painting every few years, but it is solidly made, so it should last.I would have given it four stars if it had gone together without hassles.

I purchased the adjustable netball goal, for a 10 year old (taller than average) and a 7 year old (shorter than average). The goal is really good quality, well-constructed and has already been used a lot. It was very easy to put together, a matter of minutes. Avonstar gave excellent customer service too.
