Good Crimper
I purchased this to crimp my 8" duravent stove pipe. The pipe itself was designed to be part of the Duravent system which has enlarged couplers. In order to make my pipe work with my existing setup, i was forced to crimp the pipe so it would fit into the appliance collar. This worked well. I've used other Wiss brand metal working tools with a lot of success. I was not disappointed. The tricks to doing it right are.. 1, Keep the metal to be crimped and crimp jaws perpendicular. 2, The 2 blade surface goes on the inside of the pipe. 3, even though there are hash marks, mark your depth on the crimper for quick reference. 4, While moving around the metal, keep the outer most blade in the last crimp for a uniform look and fit.

Wiss WC5L- once you get you will wish you got it sooner.
Another tool that paid for itself on the first job. I do not do a lot of HVAC work but will be installing a new furnace soon and needed more vents in my basement/shop area. This is a must for properly extending ducts, dryer vents, and installing downspouts. No more needle nose pliers working around the circumference of a duct or pipe anymore.

Be a pro when installing duct work
I am a General Contractor and for years I have struggled with dryer vents and the like when trying to put them together. You either have to go to a sheet metal shop and get the end crimped or mangle it yourself at the job site. Never again I put a new dryer vent in the other day had to shorten it for proper fit crimped the end and the aluminum dryer duct just slipped on like having the pros do it, ( well now I am a pro to).

Simple, solid, works.
I needed these to crimp/reduce the ends of .6mm steel ducting. The crimper is solidly built. and works with a minimum of effort and fuss. It pays to watch carefully how hard you are squeezing them, as it is quite easy to over crimp. (You don't have to apply as much force as you think.) Add to this Amazon's fast trouble free shipping and the whole deal is a winner. The equivalent product from a local supplier was over twice as much as the Wiss crimper including the shipping, from Amazon. And I live in Australia....

This crimper works so easily and effectively that you will be amazed
I've use Wiss snips for decades and they're tops. This crimper works so easily and effectively that you will be amazed. Crimp a piece of straight/cut -off pipe, and push it tightly into another pipe---tight as can be. Add few sheetmetal/self-tapping screws and the joint is complete. Merely follow the instruction sheet provided. Simple and effective.

Make those sheet metal pipes slip together with ease.
This tool does a great job of sizing HVAC sheet metal pipe ends so that the pipes can be coupled to each other or sized to fit into transitions and flanges. This tool is quality built and functions perfectly as it should. I use it and I would purchased it again, I am completely satisfied with this product and recommend it.

Did the job well.
I used this for crimping a downspout after trimming away the torn portion. It wasn't really made for this but with a little back and forth rocking motion with my hand while crimping, it did the job well enough to get a good crimp and I was happy with the product.

A Proper Crimping Tool Makes Life Easier
Reasonably priced, but priceless when trying to fit ductwork together, even something as simple as fitting a hose over a dryer vent that hasn't been crimped. Also great if you have to shorten the metal dryer tube and crimp the stupid thing a second time. Simple but it works. Would be nice if they told inexperienced users that the side of the tool with more blades must be on the inside of the pipe to crimp inwards properly. I had never used one so I checked the internet first to see which side was supposed to be inside the duct to crimp it.

Hmmm...not sure
These do what they are designed for, but the pair I received has a weak spring. They don't open well when I use them so I have to push open the handles a bit after I squeeze them. This is a bit frustrating, but they do crimp the pipe well.I know others that bought the exact same product and they have no problems with them so my pair may just be an anomaly. Also I did not contact the seller and did not comment or complain to them so in all fairness I cannot say if they would do anything about it; and that is on me not them.

I am very happy with the difficult to find tool and it arrived so quickly that it surprised me
Of all the purchases I made over the years from Amazon, I have to say that I am most happy with this one. The first reason is that it arrived so quickly that I did not expect it and I got to use it just when I needed it. It really saved the day as I could not find this tool anywhere else. I am a very very happy camper with this buy.
