Perfect for our small shower make-over
This was perfect for what we needed in an old cottage make-over we did. The bathroom being tiny we had to add a corner shower. I found a small adjustable corner rod, but it wasn't strong enough to hold up the curtains and the wall was not level either! So purchasing this smaller support was perfect! We did trim a little off of one end but with the screw threads going partway up the rod, it was so easy. We placed it on the curtain rod halfway around and attached it to the ceiling with the enclosed screws. Works great!

Perfect install this how I did mine, great item, works well.
I have an "S" shaped pipe extension that is used to raise the height of the head but put too much weight on pipe thislittle gem works great.I would advise one make it tight as possible before installing. How I installed mine :Hooked the pipe and bracket setup adjusted threads then used a pencil to mark mounting holes I then pre-drilled hole for molly mounts.I then screwed thread molly bolts as opposed to the supplied screws put bracket back up and adjusted the threads distance until it was tight.I then screwed the mount to wall while leaving the set screw on head loose . Once mounted on wall I then adjusted the set screw and got a nice tight installment. Time to install on my setup about 45 minutes

Worked out well in the end
I purchased two of these to attractively, permanently mount a shower curtain rod above our combo tub/shower. Everything ended up working well in the end, but it did take some planning and on the fly adjustment. In the plus column, the rods I received were threaded on both ends (which wasn’t clear to me from the product photo), though the length of threading was inconsistent between the two rods; not a big deal. The chrome finish was well done. One concern I had was that the mating between the rods threading into the plates seemed a little loose. I addressed this by using a low profile 1/4”-20 jam nut in each that fit within (above) the plate to lock in the rods; I added threadlocker as well, just to be sure. The other concern was that the included ceiling screws were shorter than I care for; I replaced with longer #9 chrome screws that were able to reach wood. With those two adjustments, everything worked out great. I recommend these shower rod mounts, with the caveats above.

Great price, very durable
I bought the 6 inch about 5 years ago, haven't had any issues. Used to hold a D shape shower frame.

Keeps Shower Rod Level
I used this to hold a shower rod level. The shower rod makes a 90 degree turn because the tub is exposed on one side and one end. I located the ceiling joist above the shower rod closest to where the shower rod makes its 90 degree turn. Used my own stronger screws into the joist. Drilled a hole for excess thread of this rod to hide in ceiling. Worked great and looks good. I did need to use two curtains.

Fit is mediocre at best
I bought two of these to mount a shower curtain. One package contained a rod threaded at both ends while the second package contained a rod threaded at one end only. The threads are very loose and sloppy-not nearly snug enough to hold the parts together firmly. As a result, I didn't use the supplied rod. I went to the local hardware store and bought a long 1/4-20 coarse thread, phillips head bolt. I applied some red Loctite to the threaded end closest to the head and inserted it from the back of the ceiling mount. The hoop end was then attached after another application of red Loctite. I didn't use the supplied set screws as there is no need for them.

Easy to install
Much nicer than rope attached to D shower rod and cup hooks in ceiling! It was a nice country / western look that I do not miss. This item matches the support that came with rod. I use fairly heavy plastic curtains all the way around and was too heavy for one support.

Poor threads and not adjustable
I'm not sure what other reviewers are thinking. This is 24" and threaded on both ends. Per the description "Length for ceiling support may be cut, if required using a hacksaw" but you can only cut it down to 20 inches keeping threads. I needed 12" so I cut and rethreaded this myself and wow what a mistake. It is coated brass so after my careful job of rethreading, it cross-threaded anyways when I screwed the soft material into the mounting bracket. Also, the threads are not the same width. The threads it comes with have a larger diameter than the shaft so the modified thread end doesn't even fit into the hook end. It does fit the ceiling mount. So what, even by design you're telling me from the factory that the threads are different diameters? Yes, that's what I'm telling you. This thing is crap!!!Fine you say, don't modify it. Well I wouldn't buy this regardless. It looks cheap because as-is the threads are visible on both ends of the rod. Not very professional looking. And it wobbles really bad, even at my modified half length. Again, fine maybe for some installs if you aren't worried about a little instability, but the wobble LOOSENS THE THREADS! This thing will fall down, I'm just waiting for it.
