Great product at a good value
This is a great brush for our dog. He has a medium length outer coat with a cottony soft undercoat. I use the wide tooth side to brush him on a daily basis for general coat maintenance/massage and especially before using his wire pin brush prior to his baths. My dog loves the Shed Ninja, because it gently works out mild mats that the wire pin brush would have made worse. I don't use this brush exclusively though, because I do think his coat requires the wire pin brush as well. This brush also has very fine teeth on one side, and I only use that on the very short hair of my dogs head and the front of his legs since it wasn't really intended for the sort of coat that my dog has. It does a nice job of removing the loose hair from those areas. The quality of the brush is very good. The head is meant to give a little, and it does slightly. I accidentally dropped mine from a high surface. The large bristle plate popped out, but I was able to repair to that quite easily with some super glue. None of the bristles were damaged, and the brush looks and works just like new. The company probably would've replaced the brush had I notified them, but my repair worked and it wasn't necessary. As for the shipping, this brush arrived well ahead of schedule in perfect condition. I wouldn't hesitate to order from this company again.

The Ninja was pretty good. I like the flex head that bends along with the lines of my dog. He has a lot of fur, some medium length and some pretty long. See photo attached for sample fur length (yes, it is an unnecessary photo to include but i couldn't help myself). There are two shedding sides to the Ninja. One side has varying lengths of metal rods designed to get at fur at different depths. The other side is more like a flea brush in the way the metal teeth are closely put together. My dog wasn't bothered at all by either brush side. The combination of the two was very good. I didn't get too much fur on me as the two sides captured a decent amount. I'm not sure it's as good as a metal bristle hair brush but I'm going to test it. The Ninja does not have a large shedding head which worked out okay as I could fit it in my jacket pocket. I liked that. I also bought at the same time the Petmate Pet Hair Magnet. see my review of that one. NG in comparison.

Rake works, but broke after first use
The rake portion of the brush works well for my Siberian husky's long fur. The other side does not work very well at all for my husky or German shepherd. Unfortunately the rake side fell off (broke) after my first use so this was a pointless purchase. Would not buy again nor recommend--save yourself the money and just buy a sturdy rake brush!

Great brush until it broke....
This shedding tool worked pretty good until unfortunately the glue came loose and both sides of the brush came loose and fell off. Both of my dogs were somewhat resistant of this tool and would walk away when I took the hair off the brush. The brush was effective at removing a lot of hair. After this brush broke I purchased a different brush (Hertzko self cleaning slicker brush). Both of my dogs like this brush better as they sit still the whole time. It is also nicer in that you don't need to pull the hair off the brush as you go.

A Sheltie Owners Dream Grooming Tool
We received the Shed Ninja yesterday and used it today. It's a Sheltie owners dream grooming tool! We have a bi-black Sheltie, so every bit of her white ruff that sheds out is more than just a little visible against her black body. We groomed our dog for about 45 minutes, this being the first shed out session for spring - anyone that owns longer haired animals (and horses) knows the knee-deep experience of spring shed. Anyway, the Ninja performed like a champ - in that time the volume of hair it removed was phenomenal. And the best part was our dog totally loved the experience, when normally she's just kind of "meh" about it all. So, this product really lives up to the manufacturer's claims and our best expectations. Highly recommend this product......

Broke on Second Use
This brush did a decent job stripping the undercoat of my terrier, but the comb portion (not the stripping blade) separated from the handle the second time I used it. Nothing broke, it's just glued into the frame and the glue did not hold. Rather than waste my time returning the item, I reattached the comb with (hopefully) a better quality glue. I would not buy this brush again because of the quality issue.

Great brush for any kind of dog
We have been using regular brushes and dog brushes of various kinds that do a decent job. But one brushing with the Shed Ninja and we were blown away by how much hair was removed. Both dogs now have shiny coats after just one brushing and they both LOVE to get brushed with this for some reason, way more than just a regular brush. We have a shepherd mix and a flat coat retriever so it works for both long and short haired dogs. We also used it on our big cat and it works very well but I would get a little smaller one for my cats. I highly recommend this product.

Grooming Brush
This works well on my two Ragdoll and one domestic short haired kitty. They all tolerate it and it really gets the loose hair off well. No more clumps of fur laying around the house. I tend to brush them when they are tired, however. My kitties do NOT like being brushed.
