Awesome product.
Spreads the weight of the board between both legs (knees) while riding up the lift. Also provides a little extea security getting off the lift and riding to where you'll strap in with the back foot unstrapped. Definitely nice for those of us with previous knee injuries. It doesnt get in the way at all when not needed and still looks pretty cool. Certainly got a lot of interest while riding at Tahoe. Think there are a lot of hurting knees out there. It does get in the way in its current form if using a wide stance and the Burton EST Channel system. It was no problem to trim back the plastic where it covered the channel. It still stayed stuck to the board with no problems. Rode it for a week and I'm definitely on the large end of the scale for riders (6'3" 250 lbs) using a Camber Custom 169 Wide.

Objectively sucks
I read a bunch or reviews where people said it fell off, I figured it was user error. It's not, the sticky doesn't work. Here's what I did: -Prepped the snowboard surface with rubbing alcohol -Heated the board and pad with a heat gun -Clamped the pad using a thick book and bar clamps -Let it sit in front of the fireplace all evening to settle in -Board sat in the closet for a month before even using it First day out it fell off as soon as I got on the lift.

Neat concept but does not work
I went snowboarding in Utah for a long weekend. I had a new board and was looking forward to trying this new stomp pad. First day was pretty cold, below freezing. The stomp pad worked for 1-2 hours, then the glue failed and the pad came loose. I went to the ski repair shop hoping to borrow some glue. The guys there made fun of me for using a stomp pad with a strap. I glued it back to the board with spray glue from the shop. I took the strap off and just used the stomp pad. The pad itself is excellent. Large and has good grip on your boots. The strap is a neat concept, but when I used it, I ended up pulling the strap off the board. I don't think the glue is strong enough to keep the pad on the board. I would recommend using additional glue when initially placing the pad on the board.

Ok, I guess
Use with caution. On a crowded lift it is difficult to get your rear foot in the strap AND get the board pointed straight ahead. As a result it is very easy to hop off the lift with the board pointed at a slight angle, catch and edge, and face-plant immediately!. Also, after a little use, the strap tends to collapse down onto the pad making it very tough to slip your boot into the strap. Some sort of stiffeners or stays would help.

A good product for beginners
I had only been snowboarding 4 or 5 times when I purchased this, and like many beginners, I was having trouble getting off the chair lift without falling. My big motivation for purchasing this product, though, was after a crash while getting off chair lift. In this crash, my board stuck in the snow, and my body flipped over the other way. This motion twisted my left knee badly and caused a decent sprain to my MCL. (Note that I don't ride goofy, so my left leg is my lead leg and the one that remains strapped in to my bindings while on the lift) Anyway, I purchased this product so that if I fell again, at least my board would be attached to two feet and not just one, and hopefully prevent my knee from getting twisted like a wet shirt being rung out. So far the strap pad has worked great for me. Not only do I fall off the chair lift much less (probably less than once per day), I don't worry about hurting my knee again. (I'm not saying it couldn't happen...my foot could slip out and I could have the same accident, but I think it would be much much less likely to happen. Plus, I'm just better at getting off the lift now.) The product also works great when riding the lift as you can slip your foot in and then don't have to worry about having the board dangling from your left foot during the whole lift ride. And you don't have to worry about putting the board on your right foot's laces and cutting up your boot on your board's edge. Note: If your lift seat is packed with people, you may not have enough room to strap in right away though. Overall, it's very comfortable to use when riding the lift, and gives me tremendous confidence when getting off the lift, so I highly recommend this product to all beginners. I can't speak for experienced or expert riders as I'm not one, and have only been riding about 3 months as I write this. Cons: My strap is fraying some at the edges, and this even happened after the first use. It's not going to fall apart, but it's a bit tacky, and seems like it could have been prevented pretty easily. Also, it might be better if the strap were slightly more rigid so that it was easier to get your foot into. When not in use, the velcro strap gets mashed down and can at times be a little tricky to get your foot in. This happens when skating on your board while in line at the chair lift -- you end up just stepping on top of the strap while gliding after pushing your board with your back leg. I don't really know how they'd get around this. It doesn't seem to be a big problem for me. I could also take the strap off (it's very easy to do) and have a regular stomp pad if this really bugged me.
