Quaternium-80 is a water soluble silicone; it will wash off with plain water and does not need a sulfate to break it down.

Why is this twice the price on Amazon that it is on Sally's website?

Not sure, I always get it at Sally's as well. I wait for their BOGO 50% and stock up. :)

Yes. It's non-stripping so shouldn't be an issue.
