THIS STUFF WORKS!!
I have a 2009 F150 with over 337,500 miles on the original engine. It developed a persistent rear main seal leak about a year ago. Having called the local dealer, I was quoted labor only of $1,900 to repair this leak. I went on Amazon to see if there might be anything out there that would help. I purchased this Blue Devil pour and go rear main sealer and had it delivered next day, put it in the crankcase as instructed and drove to Ft. Lauderdale (200+ miles roundtrip) So far, after about 400 miles, it looks to me that the leak has stopped. I'm hopeful that it stays stopped and will no longer be a mess on my paver driveway!! I recommend this product based on this outcome.

Slowed down the leak but.....still leaks
Ok so I have a 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT. 6.2 and all wheel drive. About 100K miles and it has had a minor oil leak for about a year or two. Talking a couple drops on the driveway overnight. Then after a road trip towing my camper around 200 miles total I did an oil change and the next day the oil leak was massive. The day after changing the oil I got the "low oil pressure, shut off engine!" alarm. It was at that point I cold see oil dumping out while idling. It was a consistent drip to the tune of 2 quarts a day on my daily commute which is only 30 miles total. Upon searching for the source I was able to see it was the rear main seal. I tried the Blue Devil RMS product. It did slow the leak but I was still losing at least a quart of oil every 30 miles or so. Now my truck is in the shop getting the rear main seal replaced. This job calls for the transmission, transfer case, cross members, drive shafts and exhaust system to be removed to replace this $30 seal. While the truck was at the shop and the trans removed I asked the shop to change the oil pan gasket as well because with my luck the oil pan gasket would start leaking a month later. Total cost is $2,000 for the rear main seal and oil pan gasket. I wish the sealer would have worked, but I guess my leak was way too much for it.

Great stuff
Bought this stuff 2 years ago when my rear main was leaking oil onto my clutch and causing shakiness when engaging. Well 2 years after using this stuff and my leak is still gone.

Be careful when using the product
I had a small oil leak in my engine and the product did the trick by plugging the leak and the oil filter and pump...and damaging my engine. I do not recommend it, at least that was my bad experience.

Tried it in my Escalade
I added it to my 2011 Escalade ,The next day, all the bells and alarm went off telling me to pull over. It only had about 8 pounds of oil pressure.,I crawled to the oil change place. They put a cleaner in the oil and had me run the car for a few minutes before they changed it,they offered to put in a stop leak and I said no no I just had a problem with stop leak, I’m sure this is a good product, it just had a strange result,I’m going to try a different brand ,next time. I don’t need to be anywhere and I’m near oil change place.

Does it work? Or is it snake oil?
I’ve always been leery about the various automotive cure alls, but let me tell you about this product.First off, this was used on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe that has 175,000 miles. Unfortunately, it had a cracked radiator and my daughter didn’t notice that it was getting hot before it threw a overheated code and shut down the engine. Before this, although it had high mileage, it wasn’t leaking water or oil. I brought the car home and replaced the radiator, hoses, and while I was at it the drive belt.Upon start up, it started dripping oil from the rear main. I wasn’t happy at that point. I really didn’t have the time to deal with replacing the seal and knew it would probably cost $1500 to $2000 to have replaced at the shop. At that point, I started thinking about giving a sealer a try. I figured for the under $20 cost, it was worth trying, although I had my doubts. After pouring the product in the engine, we started the engine and allowed it to idle for about 15 minutes. It still had the drip, although I knew it needed longer to react. The car was then driven on a few short 20 mile trips while observing the drips once parked and idling. The drips that began as about one per 20 seconds had been reduced to one every 60 seconds. After about another 100 miles, the leaking stopped. Currently, the Tahoe has had an additional 1000 miles put on it and still no leaks!I am impressed! I don’t know what will happen in the future, but it’s sure working now. I would highly recommend this product to any of my friends or family without any reservations. I’m so happy that I decided to give it a try.Follow up 2 months later….Still no leaks after 2 months and another 1500 miles. Very happy so far!
