Could do without the flash feature
The medical 10 piece penlight product is great, especially for the price. The pocket clip is on the barrel a little lower than the cap so the clip doesn't come off with the cap when you replace a battery. Very, very bright. So bright in fact that if you leave it on for a few minutes you can feel the light end getting warm. I could do without the flash feature but perhaps doctors and nurses need it for some reason. I just have to switch and extra time to go back to steady-state. It seems that it will reset after a half hour maybe so if you don't use it after a time it won't go automatically to flash mode. These penlights are built as well as the more expensive models and I've dropped them a few times without negative impact. I wish the battery life was a little better. They run down after three or four days in my application but I'm using the Eneloop rechargeable batteries so not a problem for me. It's a fair trade-off for the brightness. Holding it about four feet from the ground the light circle is about six feet wide with a foot or so bright spot in the middle. Raising it to walk a path or check the greenhouses will make the neighbors a little grumpy. Plenty of illumination for lighting up a third of an acre or the inside of someone's ear I guess. Could use it to land a plane or signal from a mountaintop too.

Great for work
These Flashlights are perfect for work ..They last a long time, the only reason I had to buy another was because my boyfriend lost his !! He uses his for work & it hangs off his tool belt ,Very bright light , perfect size not bulky , plus I got 2 flashlights for the price.I would definitely have to say these Flashlights ,are a good Value for the money . They don't have that cheap , plastic look either, hold up very well especially for daily use .

Comparison with "Streamlight 66121 Stylus Pro 100-Lumen Penlight", good value
In a nutshell: The "Streamlight 66121 Stylus Pro 100-Lumen Penlight with White LED and 2 AAA Alkaline Batteries, Silver" is a better flashlight, but this is the better value because you get 5 penlights for the same price (though you have to buy the batteries...). In the photos, the Streamlight is the better flashlight: 1.) The battery spring is stronger, so less rattling 2.) The on-off button can be pressed in a tiny bit to turn on the light without clicking and locking-on. 3.) The light is warmer in tone. 4.) The light is much brighter. By perhaps 20% to 30%? 5.) It comes with instructions, batteries and a woven holster for the light. But for the same price, you get FIVE flashlights from "500 Lumen LED Medical Penlight, LED Pocket Pen Light Flashlight, 5 Pcs EDC Aircraft XPE Q5 Black Nurse Penlight with Clip" And the light doesn't seem that much dimmer when not used side-by-side. I like to have a little flashlight for picking up my dog's droppings when I walk them at night. It is easily good enough for that. And it is nice to have five of them!

Powerful for its size
I bought this light to do inspections and see in dimly lit areas in an industrial environment. Its very compact, light and very powerful for its size. Due to its size, it takes small AAA batteries, and drains them down much faster than a larger light, but again its giving off as much light as a full size flashlight but fits in your pocket, so I feel its quite reasonable. Another thing I like about it is you can turn the clip around and clip it to the visor of a ballcap to see and work handsfree in the dark. For the money, this is an excellent buy!

An Essential Item For Everlyone
I am of the opinion one can NEVER have too many good flashlights or pocket knives. I have purchased 25 of these penlights which I have given to friends and acquaintances. This light is super bright for its size, as bright as a 2 D-Cell Maglite from a decade ago. It has 3 modes: 1) Bright 2) Less bright - a task light for reading a map etc and 3) Strobe for signaling etc. The quality is excellent. Clip is strong. Price is very very reasonable. Less than 5 bucks per unit. One can also use this light as a striking weapon or as a distraction weapon by shining the light into the eyes of an attacker. A must have for traveling.

A good light for the money? Yes. 500 lumens? No freaking way.
This honestly would have been a 4 or 5 star review if the seller didn’t feel the need to take it upon themselves to flat-out lie about the brightness of this light. The closest “mainstream and reputable” light this compares to is the Streamlight Stylus Pro, another 2AAA light of very similar build, rated at 100 lumens. I have included photos with this light on the right, and the 100 lumen Streamlight on the left. This light is maybe a little brighter than the Streamlight - but even part of that may be perceived due to the much cooler light temperature. I’d estimate this guy to be at about 125 lumens max, maybe 150 if you’re really pushing it - but absolutely NO WAY is it even close to 500. It’s a shame, because a well built 2AAA penlight operating ~100lm is the norm, and the price for this one is about 1/4 that of the Streamlight, with a nearly identical build quality. The only thing I would subtract otherwise is the fact that the button is made out of a much softer and thinner rubber than other lights and is untextured. It feels like the button rubber would wear out quite a bit quicker than others like the Streamlight. Even so, for the price that still makes it a 4 star light if not better. However, since the seller has decided to be dishonest (when they absolutely don’t have to - if they sold this light as 125lm it would be just as appealing) and farcically fake out the brightness rating. It’s not even a little exaggeration, it’s huge. So buyer beware, if you’re expecting this light to be five times brighter than comparable lights. It’s not. The seller isn’t being straight. But it is a good light for the price, and if you understand what you’re getting, it’s a great deal.

Excellent flashlight. Fits in the kids pockets so they can see better during the county fairs.

The torches are good value for money. Five of them for this price isn't to be sniffed at. They're bright for their size as well, and the batteries seem to last a while. There are two slight issues that I have with these. The first, and it's a minor one, is that they're a little chunkier than they appear in photos, so harder to fit into pen pockets. The second gripe is that once you've turned the torch off, you have to cycle through the other functions to get back to the one you were on. There's no option to just leave it in bright, for example, and having to cycle through isn't appropriate for all settings you might need this torch for.

Bonjour, Pas cher pour 5 torches, mais le bouton est très mal placé : très difficile d' allumer et d'eteindre d'une seule main. Dommage Jul43

This was purchased because the title stated it was 1000lm. It was nowhere even close so was returned for a refund.
