My Dot looks nice and neat off the counter
I bought it for my new Dot 3rd gen that I’m using in a kitchen and wanted off the counter. The holder does what it says it will do. It very nicely lets you wrap the excess cord around the back of the holder, then it hangs off the electrical outlet. Easy peasy. Looks nice and neat. The only thing I noticed is that the sound is slightly muffled. Whether the muffle is from the vertical position of the Dot or from the holder’s clamps around the Dot, I don’t know. Can’t say that it bothers me.Addendum: A minimum of 6.625 inches of space below the outlet is needed for the hanger to hang. That’s measured from the bottom of the electrical slot downward.

Horrendous sound quality!
I was so excited when I plugged my brand new echo dot into my bathroom with this PERFECT wall mount. I have an echo in pretty much every room and hestiated to purchase one for my bathroom because of limited counter space. The concept and look are both great but when my echo turned on it sounded like Alexa was under water! I reset the device thinking maybe it was glitching. I played a song and the quality was HORRIBLE. I’m by no means a sound snob either. But it was very very bad.The minute I took the dot out of the holder it sounded perfect. This is advertised for Echo Gen 3... but the echo has speakers surrounding the outside. The three very large clips that hold the dot make sound quality muffled, garbled, staticky, and quiet.Bummed out!

Fits 3rd generation Echo Dot
Love this mount! Perfectly hides the cord with a wrap around piece in the back and fits perfectly inside this mount! Speaker still sounds great! You’ll love it! Well worth the money (if you hate seeing charging cords everywhere like me, ha!)

Looks great, solid material - one caveat
I like this holder. It is snug and has plenty of room to wrap and hide the cord. My only issue is the clearance space between the port on the Echo Dot and where the power block fits in. It is *just enough* space for the power cord dongle to fit into the Dot but gives very little (almost zero) clearance for slack to allow for stress relief on the power cord (where it plugs into the Dot.) I fear over time this will put undue pressure on the power port connector in the Dot and cause it to fail (similar to how laptop power port connectors fail.) If there was just a 1/4" or 1/3" of additional space it would be perfect.

Hides all the Wires
I love that this mount is so simple and easily get my Echo Dot out of the way. We use this mount for the dot in a bedroom. The plugs near the bed are typically taken up by phones and alarm clocks and lamps and we don’t have any other furniture in the bedroom yet. This meant the dot pretty much had to live on the floor or on top of a young German Shepherd crate and you can imagine how daunting that was. This mount made it so easy to get the dot off the floor and hide all the wires. We plug it in the lower plug of the outlet and the top one is still easily accessible for anything else. I feel like it may slightly dampen the sound/mic but I also think my Alexa ignores me on purpose sometimes. LoLI am pleased with it and am considering buying a second one for another bedroom once we get that dot setup.

Very secure, looks good and sounds great too!
We were a little concerned that this would not mount in a secure manner and might "fall" off the wall BUT the connection to the receptacle is solid and it lays flush to the wall. Higher volume vibration does not loosen the connection at all. Some folk's reviews stated the sound was muffled and we disagree. It's not that the sound is muffled, it's more about the sound distribution direction (while listening to music, hold your Dot flat against a wall for a couple minutes then sit it on a table for a couple minutes and you'll understand). We have two Dots paired opposite walls from each other and are very pleased with the stereo sound quality in the wall mounts. On top of all that, they are a nice clean design and easy to use. We plan to purchase more of the Matone Outlet Wall Mount Holders for the other Dots throughout our home.

In my case it takes up entire plug so had to buy an extension
Easy to use, does what it says and looks nice. I cannot rate durability as I just got it. The only negative in my case is that due to wanting to use it in the bathroom and location of the plug I could not put it in the bottom plug without buying an extension. This takes away from the looks I think and it juts out further from the wall, but its not something I thought about before purchasing. You can see in the picture that without the extension I would have had to plug it into the top outlet and this would have made the bottom outlet inaccessible. Coincidentally, the unit is too heavy to turn upside down and plug in the top plug. so this was the only option for us (besides not using the mount at all). Just wanted to share this in case anyone has a vanity like mine.

Adds a touch of 'class' to your Echo display.
Cheap and durable... not much else to say. I wanted to clear some counter space and this mount did exactly that. The white meshes with the Gen 3 Dot perfectly and seems to 'grip' it tightly. It also fits snugly into the outlet, and I have no concerns that it'll pop out. This is absolutely a GREAT addition to a basic Dot setup. One thing to keep in mind, unlike the older Gen 2 mounts, this 3rd gen used the power cord that comes with your Dot. To save space, you wrap the cord around a disk on the back of the mount. Just be sure to not wrap to tightly, as this can cause the plug to slide out of the actual Dot, causing a loss in sound quality.
