Easy to use, Set and forget while cleaning, Keeps you clean and dry, Cleans well
I've used these for 10 years with success. In my opinion this is the most convenient filter cleaner on the market. I will list detailed pros and cons followed by the best practices I've found that makes it work as well or better than any hand held method.Key Benefits: Easy and fast to use, no bolting/unbolting. Clean and dry. You don't get wet using this cleaner because it doesn't spray all over like a hose. Set and forget: You put a filter on, set you hose timer to 15 min and walk away. Come back when it's done and switch or flip the filter. Cleans very well if your filters aren't impacted with dirt. Easy to use so it's not a bother to clean your filters frequently. Gentle on your filters: Your filters will last much longer due to this units gentle cleaning and your more frequent cleaning because cleaning is now easy.Cons:1) I have the longest filters on the market. It cleans half at a time, then you turn the filter over. Minor inconvenience.2) Requires decent water flow and water pressure. If you are on a well, or have lower than normal water pressure then this won't work as well as it should. I recommend 50psi + and at least 5gal/min flow.3) I'm my third. They last 6-7 years before the gears wear out. This is using it monthly to clean 4 filters running continuously for 4 hrs,4) Uses a lot of water5) Struggles with deep cleaning. (see my best practices below to solve this).Pros:1) Hands free/mess free filter cleaning. Set it and forget it. (see my best practices below)2) Very gentle on the filters. It doesn't wear the pleats or break the bands like other methods and high power spraying does.3) Filters are uniformly clean. Does not leave dirty ends like verticle cleaners.4) Super easy to use. No bolting/unbolting to remove your filter. Just pick it up and replace it with the next one. If you are cleaning (up to eight filters in my case) this is a big plus.5) The dirt drops away instead of piling up in the bottom of the filter.Best Practices to get the most out of this cleaner:1) Make sure you have enough water pressure. Get a pressure booster at harbor freight if you have low water pressure.2) Water volume is the key to good filter cleaning. I use a 3/4" hose which helps.3) Buy a hose timer. I purchase the inexpensive mechanical hose times that have 0min - 2hrs. I hook everything up and set my timer at 15 or 30 min, depending on the time of year. I live in Arizona and the July-September months we have huge dust storms, so I use 30min. In the winter, 15 min does the job nicely.4) THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT: Clean your filters monthly!!!!!. When dirt becomes impacted into the filter pleats no cleaner will get it all out. This cleaner will eventually get dirt out of the pleats but it take a LOT of water and time. I clean my filters monthly during monsoon season and every six weeks the rest of the year.5) Have an extra set of filters. yes, filters are expensive but you save big bucks by cleaning the frequently. The key to cleaning them frequently is to make it as painless as possible. My cleaning routine takes about 30min total to clean 4 filters. How? Takes me about 15 minutes to change out a set of filters with my spare clean filters. I then put my dirty filters on this cleaner and set my water timer and my phone timer to 15 or 30 min. When the time is up, the water shuts off and the system waits for me to come and flip or swap my filter, which takes about 2min. If i'm away from home I simply do it when I return. No wasted water because my time turns it off.

Could be better
Worked good for 15 minutes the filter stopped turning. Web site suggested utilizing bands to add friction. Cannot find the bands so will make them out of neoprene sheet. Then it should be a great product

Huge waste of water and doesn’t clean the pleats.
I had high hopes that this would significantly reduce the many hours it takes me to clean my filters, but the design just doesn't work. I have high pressure and used the included clips to maximize power to fewer nozzles. The design does in fact automatically spin filters in a horizontal direction, which allows dirt and debris to fall out once dislodged. Much better than standing the filters on end and using a hose with attachments as I'm sure many of us do.While very large debris does dislodge and wash out, the filters themselves barely get cleaned of the embedded dirt. I found that the edges looked whiter and cleaner, but the surfaces were not getting cleaned much at all (maybe 10% cleaned). High powered water streams need to hit these surfaces at an angle with good coverage to get them clean, but the nozzle orientation is vertical and can't get those side surfaces clean.I ended up doing it all by hand, as usual. I allowed the device to work for quite a long time per filter (20-plus minutes), but it didn't get the job done.Return policy is a firm 30 days. Looks like someone is going to pick up a bargain when I put it on the bay.

Hated cleaning the filter with hose and nozzle. This takes the work out of it.
Does a pretty good job cleaning the filter. I do get them cleaner with a high pressure nozzle against the filter, but this device makes the job pretty effortless. I used the supplied nozzle covers to close up one of the nozzles and pressure-wise it's fine and covers a little over half the length of the filter. I let it turn the filter for about 4 minutes and then flip it to do the other half for another 4 or until the water coming off the filter is clear. I would have given it five stars, but I'm worried about it's longevity. It's built from very lightweight materials and I fear it won't hold up long. I've only used it 4 times now, and the last time I had to give it a little shove to get the filter to start turning.
