Super Burp! #1 (George Brown, Class Clown) Review: George Brown is a horrible child - Read this book with my six year old because the B&N person said it was good for boys. George Brown disobeys teachers and behaves very poorly because he has some sort of cursed burps. There is no moral to his misbehavior. Won't read any more of this series. The writing was o.k., but the story had no redeeming value. Review: Great beginner chapter book series! - If you are looking for a book to get a young reader to really enjoy reading the George Brown series is it! These stories are fun and full of kid humor.

Great
My son loved this book! He is a bit of a reluctant reader so it is nice to find something he likes.

If your child loves the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series...
Our son was reluctant to read this book at first. However, since he absolutely loved the Diary of the Wimpy Kid series (he just turned 8 and has read ALL of the Diary series in 3 months), I wanted him to give these books a try. From the previous reviews I read before making the purchase, I thought this series would be sort of similar. I've been having our son read out loud on the way to school in the carpool line and we are both constantly laughing! George Brown is a loveable, silly 4th grader- although the cover of the book made me think he'd be much younger. His body seems to overtake him at times and he just can't help what comes out- in this book, it's "super burps." The burps get him into trouble and from there, the fun really begins! I give this book 5 stars because it's great for young boys who might not enjoy reading. It's light-hearted and goofy and there are pictures which enhance the storyline. I also like that it is a series so that we can see how the character evolves and what antics George will do next!

Good book.
A little slow at the beginning of the book but our 7 year old grandson enjoyed the book. He asked for the next one.

Decent book for my 7 year old boy. Quite a lot of American school language. Weak plot.
