Nubian Heritage Coconut & Papaya Body Lotion 13 Oz

So disappointed that the latest bottle I ordered has changed & I noticed immediately! Smell, texture and color all different from previous bottles. Really sick of companies cheapening their products and on top of it being deceptive about it by not advertising “formula change”. I have included pictures of the changes. I LOVED this lotion before and it was definitely a one-of-a-kind and rich lotion especially this day in age when most lotions are garbage! I had found “the one” when it comes to lotion - definitely sad to know a product I loved has changed. In the photos you can see the newer formula is lighter or white while the older one was yellow. When I put it on it was watery and the scent is no where near as good as the old. It smells and feels cheap now.

DO NOT BUY! The ingredients listed in the product listing are not correct. Nubian Heritage used to be my most favorite lotion on the market, but that is no longer true. Since expanding into corporate sellouts they have screwed all of their customers by peddling a chemical concoction that doesn't even resemble the original formula. I attached a picture of the old and new labels so you can research the ingredients yourself. I contacted Amazon demanding a refund, but since it was through a 3rd party seller it looks like I'm out of luck. There is another line called Shea Moisture that seems to match the old formula, I'm going to give them a try!

Do not buy unless you can find the previous formula where water is not the first nor any ingredient. This used to be fantastic - thick and emollient. It may have helped prevent stretch marks from pregnancy through 35 weeks and relieved itching. I just opened a new bottle recently and it's now thin and doesn't help with itching and doesn't have the stickiness and lasting effect as the previous formula. The old formula didn't have any water in it and the new formula has water as the first ingredient. The old formula has a yellow tint and is thick whereas the new one is white and very thin.

BEWARE! They've changed their ingredients! The ingredients now are:WATER, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), GLYCERYL STEARATE, Olea Eupropea (olive) Fruit Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL, CETYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERIN (VEGETABLE), GLYCERYL STEARATE CITRATE, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, fragrance (essential oil blend), Camellia Sinesis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract, STEARYL ALCOHOL, PERSEA GRATISSIMA (AVOCADO) OIL, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) SEED OIL, allantoin, tocopheryl acetate, GLYCERYL UNDECYLENATE.The ingredients listed in caps are ingredients that weren't in the original formula. I put water in caps because it used to be the second ingredient. Now it is the first ingredient. The first ingredient used to be olive oil. Now olive oil is fifth. I probably should have put allantoin in caps. It used to say it was from comfrey root extract, but it doesn't any longer. I'll bet they're getting that from a cheaper source as well. My sister tried it and says it feels gross - greasy. They just lost two customers and we have been going through a bottle a week. I am allergic to aloe and jojoba. They added so many kinds of glycerin and that is usually made from coconut. We are both allergic to coconut. This really ticks us off! We couldn't find another lotion we can use at Amazon, so Amazon has lost a customer as well. We've ended up buying Weleda Pomegranate at Vitacost.

I'm a stickler for ingredients....and the ingredients listed in the item description for this lotion is NOT what is actually in the lotion! The ingredients on the back of the bottle are different (and not the best, by the way). Extremely mad that this item can not be returned. Will not be purchasing this lotion (or anything else) from this seller/company ever again! False advertising!

Doesn't match the bottle. Sad to say goodbye to a brand I've been using throughout all my pregnancies to prevent stretch marks. The new stuff is not anywhere near as nice. Would have taken a price increase over the cost cutting to quality.

I bought this despite the negative reviews that it has changed somehow. I bought the body wash and loved the smell so much I had to have the lotion. Its thick, so thick that you cant even leave it upright cause you will never get it to the top of the bottle. I leave it on its side and squeeze till it comes out, not sure what Im going to do when it gets down so low I can squeeze it out. It absorbs nicely and makes my hands feel awesome cause in the winter like now they crack and hurt if I dont keep them lotion-ed up. Only con is that its too thick, would be nice if they would get it so you can get it out easier. Great stuff all in all.

I've written good reviews for Nubian Heritage Lotion before, because they smell so good, and they seem like very thick, rich creams. I've used their soaps for a long time and love them. But after a year or so of using Nubian Heritage cremes exclusively, and my skin looking leathery yet moist, I decided to go back to a creme I used to use and within a couple of weeks my skin was back to normal. Yikes - I am 53 and have always had dry skin, and I really thought that my skin was naturally all of a sudden aging horribly, no it wasn't - it just wasn't being nourished.

I bought this product for my wife as it agree's with her skin.She loves it!!!

Very strong perfume smell, but has a nice texture.
