B.J. Thomas Greatest Hits, Volume II

I like B J Thomas’ voice. Always have. Some of these songs are really good. There were 4-5 I liked. Unfortunately, some of these tracks sound old. They were not remastered. Other tracks I did not recognize. So Some some hits and some not. I got the feeling someone just lifted some tracks from previous albums and put them on here. Despite the sound quality, he is still really good.

Grew up with his music & still love it today. Awesome CD with very good songs!!

Best B J Thomas album that I have found.

Excellent just as I remembered it

Received CD in excellent condition. Great songs with quality sounds. I enjoy very much listening to this B.J. Thomas Greatest Hits, which is remastered very well. I especially like the song 'I Just Can't Help Believing'. This CD was a very good purchase and very satisfied with it.

Great music!

We went to see B. J. in Renfro Valley Ky and it refreshed our memory of him and his great mmusic so ordered this and we are delighted by the songs and music. Sounds great and has really great songs on it. We recommend this to any folks of the over the hill type who remember this type of music and for the younger generation who have never experienced the greart music we had growing up.

Whatever shortcomings others feel about his CD, the inclusion of the original verson of 'Billy and Sue' makes it a well-made purchase. Other collections include obvious re-recorded versions with an uptempo beat and a full ten seconds shorter.The storyline is telling of the 1960's era. Released in 1966, Billy marries his high shool sweetheart, Sue, but they are soon separated when he is snagged up by the Selective Service Act of 1951, which conscripted males aged 18-1/2 to 26, and without children, to military service for a period of 24 months. Well, Sue proved unfaithful and the song turns into a tear-jerker. However predictable, I won't ruin the ending for you but let me just say that Billy doesn't react to the Dear John letter in soldierly form. No wonder... Billy was just a kid, ignorant, innocent and lovesick. The song still gives me a chill and a bit of moisture around the eye. Surely, not the formation of a tear....

What a voice! Bought the album for the big hits and impressed at the quality of tracks. BJ failed to make any chart breakthrough in the UK despite his amazing voice and iconic recordings. In the UK other artists versions of his biggest hits were successful

excellent compilation-all the known tracks-Raindrops Keep Fallin', Hooked On a Feeling and the superb Somebody Done Somebody Wrong Song + his early versions of Mama, I Just Can't Help Believing and It's Only Love-18 tracks-great value.

Talk about relaxing practically nodded off while listening MELLOW listening however some great memories and hits on this particular CD Highly recommend it if you want to gelGod bless

I was watching a DVD of Elvis in Las Vegas and he said, tongue in cheek, that BJ Thomas had a new record outand he wasn't too keen on it, but he was going to sing it anyway. It was "I just can't help believing", and it was abig hit with audience, so I wondered what else BJ Thomas had done besides "Raindrops keep falling on my head"I found this CD and although a few songs were new to me others were familiar, and if Elvis liked him that's goodenough for me. Nice mixture of songs and music, good voice (original recordings). Some of the songs are ones youhave heard before and said to yourself, "I like that", but never quite caught who it was singing it. A great buy if youwant to try something different.
