Comfortable for the long haul
I bought this for a long-haul flight from the East Coast to Asia and my few takeaways are below.Slight cons:- Given the fleecy material, it can get a bit warm when the cabin isn't the usual temperature of a meat locker, but for the most part was cozy.- I like to listen to music to sleep on a plane, and having this in place did interfere with my on-ear headphones. Though, I'm not sure a shorter profile structure would have the same stability.Pros:- My head stayed comfortably in place and I had no neck strain; even after 28 hours of travelling.- Unlike a typical neck pillow, when not being used, this can be easily packed away.- You can pick up all sorts of weird things on airplanes, so I love the ability to remove the cover and throw it in the washing machine.- Some people have said it's difficult to figure out how to wrap, but I found it very easy to get it situated and placed.Overall: This was WAY better than your traditional neck pillows and would definitely recommend it to friends.

Brazier of Athena
Do you have a few hours? Because I need to tell you about this neck pillow thing my wife just got me.Imagine your neck is swimming in a bowl full of noodles, unable to grasp any support through the turbulence on your flight from LAX to, say, PIT. Then, imagine, just as your neck is about to drown in the limp pasta, a hand reaches down from the heavens and baby Jesus himself wraps your supple, tired neck, barely keeping its cricoid above the surface of the linguini soak, in a velvety, form-fitting embrace. Sure, other necks in the pot are just fine...floating casually next to you, but your neck, your poor poor neck, is writing goodbye letters to its loved ones - clavicles, humeri, and the like - as it can't imagine keeping up this pace for much longer. But then, the sweet Jesus baby appears and wraps it up in what might as well be the brazier of the mighty Athena...and all troubles are forgotten. This is how I felt when I first strapped on Trtl Neck Pillow. My weary neck works all night, sleeps all day - and knowing that Trtl has its back on red eye flights makes all the difference. My neck has said "sayonara" to floundering with fettucini and "hello" to raging with the rigatoni. Thanks, Trtl.**PS pic was taken with an iPhone SE. No filters**

I was skeptical but this is a winner!
This is probably my 10th attempt at a travel pillow. A few things about me:1. I can only sitting on the right side of the plane because I can only sleep while leaning on my right side.2. I can't live or fly without my Bose QC 45 II's and most pillows don't pair comfortably with over the ear headphones.3. In flight, I sleep with my glasses on just in case of an emergency. I NEED TO SEE what's going down.4. I typically wear a scarf in flight because I don't like my neck to be cold. For the reasons above, THIS PILLOW ROCKS! It does the job of supporting a side sleeper like myself while pairing perfectly with my headphones and glasses. Last but not least, I didn't need to bring a scarf. No more bobble head and compact in size..... who cares if it looks crazy. I like to stand out!

better than the standard U-shaped pillow, but it wasn't amazing
Works as indicated, but not nearly as comfortable as the other reviews said. I travel from the US to NZ several times a year and was looking forward to trying this out... It was better than the standard U-shaped pillow, but it wasn't amazing. The plastic bits got a bit hard and constraining. The U-shaped pillows give you a bit more freedom and aren't as restricting.

Almost perfect!
This is the best option I've found to provide a comfortable nap on an airplane - definitely better than the puffy horseshoe pillows which don't support my neck at all. The fabric is really soft and easily washed - so that's a huge bonus. The color choices are simple which is nice. It packs super easily into my tote bag and doesn't hog all the space like the horseshoe pillows do - so I LOVE that! I fell asleep almost instantly on the plane because it was very comfortable and cozy.It would be a 5 star rating for me but for the following reasons:1. the internal support piece is a bit short for me (I wish it was height adjustable) - it's not so much that I have a super long neck, but more that I needed better support to prop it up on my shoulder - maybe because I'm female and don't have a super straight broad shoulder? I improvised by using a sweatshirt under the shoulder support end and propped it up more firmly under my chin that way - but that's a lot of fabric and not the best answer - I will probably get a foam piece of some sort to increase height for my next super long plane ride which comes up soon! I did adjust the tension on the scarf part to make it more secure and that helped a bit - but making the internal piece adjustable would probably solve the issue more efficiently. Keeping my elbow on the armrest helped a little - but that's always a political negotiation when you're sitting next to a stranger.2. the price - I have a big family and we all fly alot - so we fly redeye trips - which means sleeping on the plane - but I don't want to pay so much to cover all the family members - personal problem I know, but the price point is a bit high in my opinion.Otherwise I love this product - best option out there that I've found.

The Trtl Pillow did not disappoint!
I got this for a trip from DC to Alaska. It took a bit of a learning curve but it wasn't long before I was loving my new purchase! I used it to sleep resting my head to the side. I used it to sleep resting my head to the front (a unique feature to any other I'd found). I also used the pillow AS a pillow on the Alaska end of my trip in it's folded up form using it under my neck for support. It was a lifesaver by the end of the week. The core neck pillow I use at home was sorely missed but the trtl pillow was a good improvisation. I also used the folded up pillow to rest my phone on atop the drop down tray on the airplane where I viewed movies on the plane ride home. All tips I'd seen in videos on how to use the trtl pillow. Those helped with usage tips for sure! All in all- I highly recommend this pillow and would definitely purchase again over any of the others I researched!
