Not having had to replace any ceramic disc tap cartridges before, I was slightly apprehensive about dismantling my tap, not knowing what I would find or how difficult the job might prove to be. In reality, the job is simplicity itself - although removing the old cartridges without a large ring spanner of the correct size (17mm) might have proved rather challenging, as they were extremely tight! Replacing the cartridges and reassembling the taps is child's play. The replacement cartridges were a perfect fit, being an exact replacement for the old ones, and the tap is no longer dripping. Care is however required when ordering these cartridges, as they come in different sizes; in particular, make sure that you order ones with the correct number of splines (20 or 28) for the tap handle. These aren't the cheapest replacement cartridges available but they do seem to be of excellent quality and I therefore feel able to give them a strong recommendation.

Bought this to replace valve on my dripping Aurora mixer tap supplied by WREN kitchens. These taps are made by PAINI and have the part number 78CR4906LWN. PAINI told me the exact replacements are: 53CC581ASA (hot) or 53CC581ADA (cold), sold at £17.40 each or £28.51 inc VAT & p&p. I realised that the GI universal replacement was about 2mm shorter at the spline end but at the price (under £7) thought I'd give it a try. Pleased to see that the valve was of very good quality and seated perfectly. The splined end did protrude less than the original but was sufficiently long to fit the tap onto and for the grub screw to bite onto. No more dripping tap and wife pleased! Will definitely buy the corresponding valve if/when the valve on the other side gives out.

The B&Q Goodhome Wydon tap had developed a drip! I was struggling to find replacement Cartridges, the one on B&Q website did not match the ones in the tap. I tried cleaning out the inside of the tap & the face seal but no good, still dripping. So rather than purchase a new tap at £100 with a 10 year warranty I looked for the receipt and discovered purchase date March 2013 so it was out of warranty by 3 months! sods law. I did some searching and checking of dimensions and came across this pair for £9.99 when other similar ones were about £30. Purchased & fitted the pair & NO DRIPS so well pleased. Not sure if the replacements will last 10 years so ordering another pair as spares just in case they are not available when needed in the future. They are slightly longer which means the levers stand out a little further but work just fine. Definitely recommended, but time will tell.

Debated which set to buy on amazon. Eventually went with these because they were best value. Look to be very well made (no burrs or rough edges and machining all looks good) and after now 3 months the taps are still drip free and rotate very smoothly. No problems at all. Would recommend these as a cheap and perfectly acceptable replacement.

did the job for my Triton shower mixer bar. The shower was dripping and I couldn't find the part ( Triton Mechanic Headwork (Altair) 83308450 ) . works just as well if a little less turn than the original that is 4 x more expensive. easy peasy to change. just don't forget to turn the water supply off before you do. simple screw and spanner job

I purchased taps a few years ago and they started leaking after a few years use I did not want to replace tap as it was expensive to replace so this purchase was the cheaper option.

Unfortunately this insert wasn't completely compatible with my original insert in as much as although the splines matched up with the original tap, the diameter of the splined part of the replacement item is about 0.5 mm smaller than the original and doesn't mesh completely with the tap top so when tightened down the tap turns over the splines. I'm sure it will be a good fit for the vast majority of taps but unfortunately just not mine.

Est venu remplacer une ancienne vanne qui avait pris du jeux et qui fuyait. Dimensions relativement standard, en tout cas ça se monte très bien sur mon vieux thermostatique ! Le voilà reparti pour 10 ans
