Excellent quality cable!
Does create additional clarity and definition vs standard everyday usb cables and looks great for those who value those aspects.

Nice
Don’t really write reviews about cables. This one actually made a difference . The one I had before it was the forest version and also had one of the basic fax machine white ones, which between the forest and just a basic oh crap, fax machine one I don’t think I could tell a difference but this Cinnamon does sound little cleaner in the higher frequencies. This cables actually not snake oil.

A review by a skeptic
I have been leery of the hype surrounding high end cables but after reading articles on jitter I talked myself into purchasing a "better" USB cable for my desktop audio system. After some additional research, the AudioQuest Cinnamon seemed like a reasonable first step into the murky world of cable upgrades. My current setup consists of a Macbook Pro, Wadia 121 DAC/Headphone Amp and Sennheiser 600 headphones. My audio files are currently all apple lossless. I was using a generic inexpensive USB cable which honestly seemed more than adequate but I was determined to "drink the kool aid". Here's my take.1. Was there a noticeable improvementWell--yes, and I was quite surprised that it was actually better. I did swap them back and forth and also did blind testing with my wife's help and a few snarky comments from her. I could tell the difference with the test music every time. It is not an "OMG" difference but I would describe the difference as sharper, cleaner and more accurate for lack of better terms. I won't get into specifics about the numerous test tracks i used except to note that some pieces seemed to benefit more than others.2. Is the cable worth the priceIf you are listening to compressed iTunes store music through an inexpensive DAC with cheap cans, don't bother. If you don't listen critically once in a while, forget it. Honestly, the AudioQuest Forest at half the price is almost as good (yes, I bought one of those too). I gave the cable four stars because I think it is overpriced, but I'm keeping it because I do like the noticeable improvement. While I haven't tried one of the REALLY pricy cables (think Cardas and King Rex among others) I'm confident the small additional improvement if there is one would not be worth it. I will try to audition one at some point just to be sure, so stay tuned....3. Would I recommend itIf $60 won't break the bank for you, then give it a try. As I said earlier I'm keeping it. The AudioQuest Forrest at half the price is probably a better choice for non audiophiles.

Expensive...
It does give quality sound to my Jotunheim Dac/amp though. The only con is it is very expensive. I had a cheap printer cable from best buy before to supply the data to the amp from my pc. Switching to this the sound is definitely warmer sounding, it made a huge difference in the low end. All in all I am happy with the purchase and would recommend if you can afford to do so.

When I thought it could not get better…
I recently purchased Audioquest’s Red River XLR interconnect cables for my Topping D90SE / A90 stack and that just added oodles of detail and spaciousness to the sound. So when I got the Audioquest Cinnamon USB A to USB B cable I was sceptic as to whether I would notice a further difference. But I was completely wrong! I was pleasantly surprised to hear a definite increase in the definition of the sound, now I can hear the texture of a voice and number of fainter sounds to which I was previously oblivious… I am not sure how the science behind it all works but my ears are telling me it does work !

Who Says Cables Don't Matter?
Well a lot of people do. But IMHO if you've invested in nice/high quality audio equipment, I think it is worth the money to make sure you get a quality cable. I think AudioQuest products are designed to get the most of your audio gear.I've purchased many of their products over the years, and they have never let me down. Compared to some exotic, high end audio accessories I think the pricing is reasonable for what you get.

Good cable, good price
This cable is well made, performs well from an audiophile standpoint, and looks good. The pricing is quite good. I've found that having a quality cable does make a difference in my digital music system, this one is used with a Mac Mini connected to a PS Audio PerfectWave DAC and I have noticed an improvement, mostly around limiting noise and providing a darker, more silent background, since moving to this cable.
